Unless he’s injured why isn’t duke Johnson being heavily considered w our front office? He’s becomes RB 1 immediately in our group. Am I missing something?

You have information he is not being considered?

1. The fact no one is banging down the door for him should speak volumes.
2. He has never been a great RB. He’s a receiver out of the backfield. His best rushing season was 410 yards.
3. He was awful last year.
4. He’s not better than Gaskin.

As big a fan I am of the Canes, and as much as I love Duke...no thanks.

I'm not saying he's 100% done but he was never a #1 back, and he doesn't have the agility/explosion he did coming out if the U.

Was never a particularly good runner but he’sa great receiving back

We already have 2 RB's that can catch out of the backfield and DJ doesn't add anything to the ground game we don't already have. If you look at him running in college, pros about 3-4 years ago, and watch him last year, he's obviously slowed down quite a bit. I think the coaches would rather keep developing what we have.

You are remembering the Duke Johnson from his days at the U. The Duke Johnson today wouldn’t make the Dolphins roster IMO, much less be the #1 RB on the team. He just isn’t a good RB anymore.

The Duke is DONE. The last time he carried the DUKE he sucked DUKE.

I don’t think dolphins fans realize how good Myles Gaskin is. In 10 games he had almost 1000 all purpose yards, averaged 4.1 YPC. Out of those 10 games he only started 7. If you project those numbers over a full season, he’s a top 10 RB last year. Not to mention he was running behind a young/bad OL with no real deep threat WR to keep safety’s deep. If he stays healthy I honestly think Gaskin is an RB1 and a high quality back. For me it’s the depth that’s concerning. Ahmed was solid last year, Brown I’m not super high on.
