I am a positive person but something doesn't seem right here... My gut tells me Fisher has always wanted to go to the Rams but our offer is probably twice of the Rams and he is now playing the leverage game by using Dumb & Dumber (Ross & Ireland) to up his ante from St. Louis and have the best of both worlds in his eyes. I find it hard to believe that a person can sit on something for 3 full days and not have a decision. We will never know the truth of what has gone on, and I sure hope I am wrong at this point, but I think we are getting played and Fisher is gonna get paid... And it won't be in South Florida.

One thing I have noticed, and keeping last year in mind, everyone was saying that Harbaugh was going to the 49ers, then because he flew out there, then a few people said Ross may sway Harbaugh, but by the time he left, everyone reported that he was going to the 49ers, which was correct.

Now this time around, most people were talking Rams, but also talking us... the ratio really didn't change until Fisher went to the facilities in St. Louis. Since Tuesday, even those saying Fisher was going to the Rams have switched and have said that he's coming to Miami.

I believe, Fisher will be announced likely tomorrow... signing with us. The hold up? His contract and details. Fishers agent Dermoff, is a very silent agent. There's nothing coming out of his camp. Ross as already said there will be no announcements unless things are complete, and if the candidate agrees. Hence, all info is locked up like fort knox.

This is my opinions, but with practically every single outlet saying fisher is leaning towards us, it would be shocking at this point to be otherwise.

Possible, yes, probable... you decide.

Or maybe, just maybe Fisher is doing his due diligence and weighing the pros and cons of both situations and trying to determine which is the best fit for him long term.
Maybe some of you guys have an inferiority complex or have an anti Ross/anti Ireland bias which keeps you from thinking logically

If this is what you think, then you do not know Jeff Fisher very well. Of course, with your idea that keeping Jeff Ireland, who is damn good at what he does, is strike two, it just shows you that you are biased against Ireland and will consider anything he goes along with a mistake.

You could be on to something. Leaking info that he is ready to sign with the Phins in order to get the Rams to up there offer could be a scare tactic. According to the so called "reports", he's been coming here since Monday and has not signed yet? Seems odd. He may be holding out till the last possible moment in order to get the Rams best offer. If he's doing this he is really a dick. Not saying he is, but if he signs with the Rams at this point it would have an awful funny smell to it.

This **** is pissing me off. Only thing that would satisfy me right now is one hard punch at Ross' face. I've defended him before but my god he IS retarded.

According to theredzone.org he is in fact trying to get better compensation from the Rams. We are yet again being played like a fiddle. So what if the Rams decide not to up the compensation for his services and he takes option B, the Dolphins? We will then have a coach that really doesn't want to be here

And the worst part is we're stuck with Ross. Cause this ain't a house that you can just put up for sale easily, it's a 1 billion dollar franchise ran by imbeciles. I know the Robbies did what's good for their family and generations but man, I sure wish they turned over the franchise to Shula.

People can blame Ross all they want.. but by Fisher own admission, Miami made an amazing impression.

In the end, this is going to be Jeffs decision, and not egg on Ross this time.

Who?

I didn't know you knew Jeff Fisher... I am sorry. Last time I checked I believe you are in the minority on thinking Jeff Ireland is good at what he does, wait... damn good at what he does.... I wish them the best and will always root for the fins no matter who is calling the shots... This one seems strange, just like the Harbaugh trip. And again, I hope I am wrong.

exactly.. some people will believe anything regardless of where it's coming from.

Theredzone.org is a web site that collects all of each city's online sports stories and gives you the chance to look at them. It's actually a cool site for those who are fans of a team that is in a different city in which they live.

I've gone there a lot to see different stories from the Miami Herald and Sun Sentinel.

Fisher might just be doing his due diligence and finalizing the details or we could have a Nick Saban situation on our hands. Has everyone forgot how Huizenga's jet idled on the tarmac for hours as Saban mulled the Fins' offer? The guy couldn't make up his mind. It too was an overly impressive presentation that managed to convince a guy who really didn't want to come here to come here. Now we have Jeff Fisher who may have been bowled over by Ross's presentation doing a similar number. Should I sign on that dotted line or should I not? On the one hand the Rams have a potential franchise quarterback on their roster. On the other you've got potential franchise instability that could result in the Rams moving back to LA, then again, Fisher is a SoCal guy to begin with and might welcome returning to LA, possibly as a conquering hero. Then again the Dolphins are the sexier franchise in the sexier city, then again, the franchise is so far removed from its iconic status it might as well be the Jags. Sometimes you can roll out all the bells and whistles. You can wine and dine a guy. You can show him the neon on South Beach. Take him for a cruise on your mega-yacht and wow him, but that's just temporary blindness. He's got to really want to be here. Now we don't know that he doesn't want to be here, but if this drags on much longer it wouldn't be absurd to question Fisher's motives.
