I seen the jets and mark sanchez loves his te kellers but how will he play when dansby takes keller out of the game. I see sanchez trying to force ball in perfect coverage how about you?

Dansby is the darrelle revis at MLB.
He covered Gonzales like a blanket.
Ryan didnt play too well without Gonzales.

Taking Keller out the game will be big. Sanchez will try to force it regardless because he's just not a very good QB.

Dansby is good in pass coverage so Keller will be a non factor, but Sanchez will still try to throw it to him.

I could see Keller becoming a forgotten commodity with the jest wanting a strong running game.

Not only that; imagine how discontent Braylon & Santonio will be if they don't get alot of "passes" thrown their way.

Considering who the QB is; I could have said "balls" but decided to err on the side of caution?

I think Dansby will probably make Keller a non-factor. However, I do think Keller might get a catch or two, but it won't matter.

What I can't wait for though is for when Dansby (or anyone else on the team) trying to force it somewhere making a bad decision and then Bell is gonna be there to blast them. Hard.

when we play them week 3, it should be ours. Dansby will blanket Keller so he's a non factor. Pace is out. Holmes is suspended. Revis will probably be acting like a baby and holding out still.

4 IN A ROW BABY!!!! :hclap:

watching dansby vs the falcons made me feel real good about our signing and everything ive heard about how he is good in coverage.

he will take shaincoe out of the game week 2, keller week 3, etc. i think his biggest test this season on our schedule will be in week 6 vs the packers in trying to take out finley. i believe finley can turn into a top 3 tightend in the game very soon.

LBs cannot cover keller, I know dansby is excellent in coverage but Keller is a matchup nightmare for LBs.

Guarding Tony gonzalaez in rpeseason is one thing, I'm sure things would be different come the regular season.

IF you could take keller away I think that would be huge for you guys, I think Keller is the key to our passing offense.

I know we saw alot of Dansby vs TE this last game but I dont expect to see him doing this full time when the season starts. 1. He is a very good inside Blitzer. 2. We have seen nothing but vanilla defense so far. Why would we tip our hat so early on that Dansby will always be covering the tight end? I dont see it, I think he will cover the TE at times and at times Bell or most likely Clemons will be covering the better TE's this year.

Think about it, our expectations on 3rd down was to see Dansby free to roam and Edds covering the TE. Do you really think just because Edds got hurt they will now not let Dansby roam free? I think they will mix and match who is on the TE to disguise the coverages.

nah......didn't you hear? the dolphins defense is just gonna neutralize every player on the jets offense one on one. it's not a contest. dansby is gonna take keller out of th egame completely and tomlinson if he's in as well. no contest there. davis=edwards neutralized. smith (or whoever they will play at cb2) = cotchery shutdown. starks will likely just run over mangold etc etc....and then when you switch to our defense against the fins offense it's no contest. grove or berger or whoever they pick at center will dominate jenkins. our secondary has no chance against their receivers, and the incredibly intelligent play of henne will make them look silly. ricky and ronnie will probably run for 100 + yds a piece on our overrated front 7. and even if revis is back he can't stop the run anyway. the dolphins are going to single handedly expose the jets for the pretenders that they are. it's going to be an embarassment. this is the main thing i've learned from reading the forums here, and it's been a very sobering eye-opening experience.

i think keller will get a catch or two but dansby will probly shut him down for the most part. unless he gets sucked in on play action.

The Jets have alot of toys on offense this year, Dansby is a much needed upgrade for us, but like junc said, I'm not sure he can take Keller out of the game. He is going to need safety help over the top for sure, Keller is closer to being a WR than a TE.

With Edwards, Holmes (yea, he will be suspended for the first meeting), Keller, Cotchery (Coles was released yesterday I see), and LT who is no slouch at catching balls out of the backfield, our secondary will have its hands full.

The real questionmark is Sanchez. As mentioned earlier, will he try to force throws into coverage? If so, I like our chances. If he is smart about it and his O-line (which is far from shabby) gives him time, those guys will get open eventually.

So the other nagging question is really whther or not our pass rush will be enough to force mistakes. I'm not sure we will know for another two weeks, as it seems the team is sitting on some kind of secret and we arent going to let anyone know about it until the season starts....
