Prior to the Draft we heard some reports about Dustin Keller's recovery, and his eagerness to get signed on hopes for progress. However, I haven't heard anything for months. It was a very nasty hit around this time a year ago. Clay did a great job of stepping up in the TE role, but Keller was pretty good when he was with the Jets.
Has anyone heard anything about his recovery? No news could be bad news for Dustin. If he was getting healthy, his manager would be banging on doors.

July 31, 2014 that's best I can find also his twitter is really quiet and still on Pat's radar supposedly.

Another option could be Keller. The tight end is also coming back from a season-ending injury after he tore almost every ligament in his knee in a preseason game with the Miami Dolphins. He too has been cleared by his personal doctor. Keller took a visit to the New England Patriots during free agency but did not sign a contract. He is likely competing with Finley for attention, but Keller does not have the insurance policy, making his contract a little easier to handle. Keller is not a starter, but the Seahawks do not need one. He could be a solid plan B option behind Miller

Damn shame that injury. He was looking GREAT for us, he and RT had instant chemistry.

I thought his agent said he would be ready for the 2015 season.

:idk:

If Keller is ready now, doubt he gets picked up unless injuries pile up.

Hey boys, haven't posted in a while. Just wanted to chime in and say that I remember this time last year everyone on here thought we were screwed with having to roll w clay after kellers injury. At this point last year we all thought clay was on the roster bubble or at least in the dog house. Fast forward to today, clay is a budding star. I think we need to take patience with a lot of our young players and wait and see before jumping to conclusions :-)

Keller’s agent, Eugene Parker, has been quoted as saying the tight end is “ready to go.”

But obviously he is not, or teams will not take a risk till after the first week of the regular season where he can be released easily.

If Clay's situation is worse than we think, I'd bring Keller back in a heart beat.

I read recently that the Pats would eventually be his destination.

I've never heard an agent say his player wasn't ready to go. And why not? If they can get one team to throw a contract out just on the chance the player might play some football sometime this year, they get paid a lot of money.

I hope in some way we can bring him back. I like Clay A LOT and he will be good for us again. However Keller has an understanding of the TE position and would be AWESOME in this offense if healthy!

Let him go .....

Isn't there some rule that if you sign them after the season starts and you cut him, you don't have to guarantee his salary?

Something like that although a team could sign him now and if he look good u keep him if not cut him. He wont get guaranteed money
