Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports there is some talk the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/29/nfl">Philadelphia Eagles may have some interest in Miami Dolphins RB Sammy Morris. The team is seeking a veteran backup running back with size.

hmmm i wonder what we could get for him

interesting... but if we let go of morris we'd need to keep evans and martin as FBs, leaving us one less HB to keep on the roster... hmmm

I think he's worth a 2nd.

Except that were only keeping one FB and Evans looks to be that man.

This team is looking to shed some running backs but I can't see the team parting with Morris unless they plan to keep Harris to fill that 3rd back/special teams role.

he is a suprisingly valuable member of this team...

#3 back
#2 FB
special teams demon..

I think that we'd be looking at a third round pick, baring in mind the fact that the eagles will do well this year, and the pick will be low.

Where were you last year when we gave up a 2nd for Feeley? I think you should be part of the front office.

Exactly!! If we get rid of any RB, it should be Gordon or Minor but not Morris. I really like him!

we can keep only 1 FB because we have morris who can play fullback, if we get rid of morris im saying, we'll need to keep 2...

Trade Morris for a 3rd or 4th and keep Martin at FB and gordon as a backup.

Have you been smoking with Ricky??? What has he accomplished to be worth a 2nd round. The Eagles only want a backup in case Westbrook gets hurt. They aren't willing to squander picks like Speilman and Wanny were. They aren't at the top of the heap for nothing.

We'd probably get no better than a 4th rounder. Any trade could be conditional... based on carries, yards, etc.

This isn't Wanny world anymore. Were more likely to keep 3 TE's plus Ed Perry then we are to keep 2 FB's. FB is very rarely used in Linehan's offense. Think about it. Look at all the OL analysis threads. How often does the FB's name even pop up? FB in this offense is like the SLB in Bates defense.....barely there.

And your all smoking the wacky. Morris at BEST is a 5th rounder. Were talking about a guy on the FA market a year ago and signed here cheap. Anyone could have had him then.
