It's not difficult to identify what player is penciled in to start next to Ndamukong Suh come September if his health allows.
That player will likely be Earl Mitchell considering the Miami Dolphins guaranteed $3 million of his $4 million base salary by keeping Mitchell on the roster five days after the league's new year.
The contractual cause was put in the four-year, $16 million contract Mitchell signed nearly a year ago as one of General Manager Dennis Hickey's first signees.
Mitchell, who started 17 games for the Texans before coming to Miami in 2014, contributed 33 tackles and two sacks last season.

Earl's signing has been under the radar, but I expect another level next to Suh.

I would like Starks back on the cheap.

I would also like randy back. I lost some comfidence in him but he has quietly been one of our better signings over the years

Confidence, sorry stupid iPhone

I like Earl, especially, when you watched his effort-level next to that lazy Starks!

You could have jamie winston playing defensive tackle next to Suh and we'd still have a beast Dline with Wake and Vernon.... Need a better DT? Please

I like mitchell. He's not real big but he has a good motor and playing next to suh they are gonna be chasing the qb all over the place! Should be a lot of fun to watch. :)

This guy is good. As said playing next to Suh is going to give the other DT a single team. You want a guy who can speed rush someone and is mobile. He will get sacks this season simple because of the extra attention to Suh and the looks at Wake and Oliver.

I honestly wasnt watching Mitchell very intently last year. But i don't believe he lived up to the hype when we signed him. Everybody was saying how he was a hidden gem
