1. As of right now, we have Soliai and Ferguson (for the last 8 games) to man the nose. We don't have anyone to start at FS. The coaching staff has repeatedly stated that Clemons is still developing and it would be a mistake to start him this early.

2. We haven't aggressively pursued any FS's with the exception of Ryan Clark. If we felt the position was a top priority, he would never have left Miami without signing a contract.

3. If Dan Williams was really that good, would Denver have signed Jamal Williams as a stop-gap when he will definitely be there at #11? He's overrated at this point because he's the top NT in a draft where almost half of NFL teams run a 3-4. His talent level is top-25, but many are projecting him to go much lower.

4. Berry won't be there at #12. No chance, stop dreaming. I don't advise trading up for a position of luxury.

5. Thomas is the perfect fit for our defense the way it is currently built. We need a FS who excels in coverage. He also should be able to start immediately.

6. I still don't think we draft Dez at #12 for a number of reasons, and the depth at OLB is so great we should be able to get a top-5 guy at that position in round 2. The drop-off in FS is much greater.

Let me know what you guys think.

It's a good point the only thing I would argue is the best defense against the pass is an excellent pass rush. As of right now we have 1 guy (Wake) who can come off the corner and get to the QB. I say we need at least 2 others one of them should be JT the other could be our rookie start SOLB. Gramham or Everson or Kindle. Don't think Kindle is a SOLB but hey you never know.

Thomas is the better option because he's the much better player.

Thomas is the best coverage S in the draft - in a draft that has one of the best coverage S's (Eric Berry) to come out since Ed Reed.

Williams isn't a dynamic NT. I don't know who got all mixed up into thinking he is . . . but regardless of where he's supposed to go, I don't think he'll be the best NT from this class.

Honestly, this draft is deep in the three things we need the most: OLB converts, FS types, and developmental nose tackles.

Whatever direction we decide to go, we can justify it. If Dez Bryant is there, he's the most logical due to the drop from him and the next guy. At the other positions, we can get a guy with a solid developmental chance after the first found. I'm not really that worried, as long as we don't take JPP I'll most likely be happy with the pick, and be able to see the rationale.

I would NOT want Dan Williams. The guys motor does not run all the time. I have seen him play a lot and he appears to be lazy too often and one o-lineman can negate him and neutralize him easily.
