No trades although I think there may be.

13 James Pearce Jr, Edge, Tennessee
48 Omar Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee
98 Jaeden Roberts, RG, Alabama
99 Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon
115 Rod Moore, FS, Michigan
149 Xavier Nwankpa, SS, Iowa
156 Zane Durant, DT, PSU

The 7ths should probably be RT, OG and TE/FB but IDK who. I hope they bring Tyrell Dodson back at LB.

I like all of it but Pearce honestly. I'm not sure about drafting another small Edge to pair with Chop.

Love the player, just not the fit.

To me, even though stylistically Pearce Jr is not an ideal complement to Robinson, he's just too good pass up.

If there were a 260 lb+ Edge with comparable ability, I'd prefer that, but Pearce Jr is a special talent, and despite his slightness, he made more plays vs the run (per opportunity) than any of the potential Top 40 Edges.

But, as a pass rusher, he can win in every way - and spectacularly. Multiple reps where he wins inside, and the OT doesn't even get a hand on him - Von Miller kinda stuff. He has multiple reps where he converts speed to power and puts the OT on his ass and at the QB's feet. And, he has a ton of reps where he just smokes the OT outside.

And, it's not just that he has these highlights, it's the rate at which he wins and gets to the QB. Stylistically, Chop + Pearce Jr would be similar to Miller and Ware in Denver.

To me, not including QB's (still deciding on them anyway), there are three clear Top 10 talents in 2025 (guys who you'd be happy to take Top 10 in any class):

James Pearce Jr
Abdul Carter
Travis Hunter

I expect them all to be gone by the time Miami drafts (only Pearce Jr is currently projected to be available, but that should change), and I'm not bypassing any of them for the sake of a better fit.

Fwiw Tyler Warren and Xavier Watts would be Top 10 if I didn't down-weight TE and Safety. Graham and Nolen are more Top 20 to me, as is Egbuka and the top OL.

Not a great class at all - but probably better than 2022 overall.

I also like the Norman-Lott pick - little boom/bust, but per-opportunity, he's the most disruptive pass rusher of any of the DT's, so if he hits, you have a real terror on the inside. Biggest concern is he didn't play a ton of snaps; next biggest is his level of athleticism. Need a certain level of juice to win at a high rate in the NFL and I'm 50/50 as to whether he has it.

13. OT/OG Banks

48. S Watts

98. DE Gillotte

99. TE Helm

115. QB Dart

149. DT Robinson

156. DB Igbinosun

224. WR Brooks

231. RB Martinez

251. OG Kandra

Boy was Pearce giving those South Carolina tackles fits all game!

I don't like this edge class at all. Right now I only like one edge, Tyler Baron. We'll see how they test, but to me he is the only first round grade right now. Not interested in the rest.

He's different! He was no lower than the #2 prospect entering the year, and he improved - just had less sack success, which is not uncommon for the final year for top Edge prospects, as offenses are hyper-aware of them.

His raw athleticism in conjunction with his versatility as a pass rusher make him hell for most OT's. He's overwhelming.

Hard to imagine Carter or Pearce would get past the Bears the Bears at 10, if either happens to make it that far. Despite the needs they have on the OL, which are primarily on the interior, a great edge to pair with Sweat and the rest of that D would really help them stand up to those division foes. The only offensive player that makes sense for them at 10 is Jeanty. Their tackles are solid and cheap. They can get their interior OL at 39 and 41. Which is something a lot of Dolphins fans better think about as they’re watching the draft. The Bears will take a OG with one of those two second rounders so don’t fall in love with someone at the top of round 2.

Gotta believe the Jets will be interested as well. Haason Reddick isn’t re-signing there.
