Miami - Brian Cushing LB 6-3 255 USC
"Cushing is an all around linebacker that could help out in a variety of roles for the Phins next year. His main role would likely be as an edge rusher where he has a lot of potential, but he also has the ability to move inside and be a presence there. The talent, attitude, and versatility will make him a Parcells favorite."

RD 1
George Selvie LB 6-3 255 USF
"Selvie is a big time playmaker off the edge"

RD 2
Patrick Chung S 5-11, 210 Oregon

"Strengths
Chung is the complete safety prospect. He is very active and aggressive on the field, and will not be outworked by anyone. Chung is a tackling machine and loves to attack the action near the line of scrimmage.

Weaknesses
The only thing Chung really lacks is amazing size, as he has only average size with listed measurements of 6' 210. His size does not limit his ability on the field because he plays bigger, but with his aggressive nature on the field, he could wear down over the course of the season in the NFL."
Ron Brace DT 6-2, 335 Boston College

Miami
RD 1
D.J. Moore, CB, Vanderbilt
"Andre Goodman has improved over the year, but the Dolphins still really need help at cornerback. Miami finished just 18th against the pass, according to the yards-per-attempt pass defense rankings."

RD 2
Phil Loadholt, OT, Oklahoma
"It doesn't look like Vernon Carey will be back next year, so the Dolphins will need to find someone in the draft or free agency who can start at right tackle."
"Extraordinary size ( 6-8, 337 ) and looks like an ideal right tackle"

Ron Brace, NT
, Boston College
"Jason Ferguson just turned 34, and his contract expires after the 2009 season. The Dolphins will need to acquire a new nose tackle in the near future."

RD 3
Mohamed Massaquoi, WR, Georgia
"Ted Ginn and Davone Bess both have their strengths, but neither wideout is a massive target. At 6-2, 205, Mohamed Massaquoi could be the solid split end Miami was looking for when it signed Ernest Wilford."

I would not mind that draft as long as we get a pass rusher in FA.

I'm not too crazy about a lot of those picks. Raji and Brown could be good options for our first rounder. Chung could be a decent pickup in the second. I payed close attention to Loadholt during the championship game and wasn't particularly impressed. Granted he was playing left tackle against pretty elite competition. Who knows, he could work out on the right side if Carey is let go.

Selvie would be great as a 3-4 OLB, but he is returning to school.

Cushing = blah.

Brown is a good prospect, but there will be a transisition period there . . . he is JP's replacement anyways.

I'm warming up to Raji, but I don't want to go NT in the first round.

that mock from walterfootball makes a lot of sense imo... goes along what i'm porjecting lol but a little different

I have liked everything I have read about Cushsing, but I watched him during the rose bowl and wasn't all that impressed. Not sure the pass rush will be there in the NFL.

I agree with you about Cushing and if Raji is as dominant as his rep then I'd take him in the first. Normally I would go elsewhere in RD 1 but if you can get a stud NT you shouldn't hesitate to secure the most important position on your D.
I'd have no problem with Chung in the second. He could be groomed under YB at SS but we need a stud FS to start.

as i've said before on Cushing...i don't want him in a phins uniform at all...his injury history at Southern Cal scares me,and i don't want whomever our 1st rd pick is to spend more time on IR than on the field like i feel he'll do...

Alex Mack. in the first an oline of Long-Smiley-Mack-Satele-Gross
2a. Best backer Available
2b. Ron Brace. future NT and another DL sub. for depth.
3. Dominique Johnson CB

pick up Gross, otogwe, and duante bobinson and bart scott (prolly asking too much) in fa. resign bell and crowder if the right price fro short deal, even tho he is dad i dont see a replacement this year.
resign bell,

Am i reading that right Raji and Cushing picked in the 3rd round. IS Helen Keller picking for the other teams. No way Raji gets out of 1st and Cushing will be 1st or very very early 2nd rounder

The round three I think you are referring to is only the WR. The ones below it are from separate mocks that have round 1 only.
