Early Recruit Rankings

That's the only time this season I expect Penn State to be ranked ahead of Ohio State, lol. Damn you buckeyes, lol.

Glad to see the Gators doing so well! While this will not be a class like last year I do think that this will be another great class. Urban has turned himself into one of the best recruiters in the country and has a great staff!

He's been one of the best recruiters, that's nothing new. It's part of the reason Florida gave him such a contract and offered him a job. How do you think he did so well at Utah and Bowling Green? He wasn't exactly getting 5 or even 4 star recruits busting down the door to go there. He had to recruit well from players he actually had a chance at getting, and he always managed to recruit really well for his programs.

Well considering most of the players he recruited at Utah and Bowling Green never really played under him you don't know he is a great recruiter. Beisdes great coaching can make average players alot better. Besides its alot different recruiting at Utah and Bowling Green than at Florida. He may have been good, But he has shown greatness as a recruiter!

 He was at both schools for 2 years. At the rate he's playing the freshman this year I'm sure alot of his recruits played for him there as well.

well, he won at utah and bowling green without the luxury of experienced players that he recruited. he won there because he's a great coach, not necessarily because he's a great recruiter. it doesn't mean he can't recruit (obviously he can), but he's an even better coach. :D

When analyzing recruiting, it's hard to find a group that works harder than Ed Orgeron and the Ole Miss staff. This guy recruits to a level that Meyer, Carroll, Richt, and company don't even do. Granted, part of the reason is that he has SO MUCH to make up for.

It used to be that Alabama and Auburn stole many of Mississippi's high-profile recruits. Not so much anymore, unfortunately.

Wow Texas looks like they will be back in the Nat title game in 2 years.
