EA's Prediction for All-Pro LB

would not at all be surprised. he's gonna have a hell of a year.

Sean Smith is gonna be defensive rookie of the year, count it!... and yea Crowder will be a beast he's blitzing alot better this offseason and has always been a good tackler

I think Akin Ayodele will out play him, he has really stepped up his game.

he has looked good in the preseason - but he's gonna have to do better than 75 tackles. crowder is the better of the two - but i think both of them will have great years. crazy high expectations for the defense.

My thoughts exactly!

Picking names out of a hat would be more accurate than using a game as unrealistic as Madden.

Madden is a shell of what it use to be & Madden 10 is by far the worst of the most recent.

How the hell do they decide to implant the Wildcat and supplant giving the player behind center options? The reason the Wildcat is successful, in addition to the extra blocking which I don't even think they got right (can't remember if they do use a tackle as a TE), is that Ronnie Brown or whomever the snap is going to gets to decide whether to hand off, take off, or pass according to what he sees in the defense.

By the way, for those of you who didn't pre-order or weren't at blockbuster an hour before openning and are considering buying this sham of what Madden use to be even if its for the son, look up the outright disrespectful overalls and ratings they give an AFC East division champ. Sporano finished one freagin vote shy of coach of the year and Miami can't win or tie a heads up coach rating with the majority of the league.

Combine the still horrid control of the runner (they didn't fix the glitch), the ZERO semblance of a pocket in the face of any blitz, the batting up and around of every other pass defended (because that's the norm in football), the "Dive" button being replaced by the "Fall Down" button, the fact that breaking the huddle with 7 seconds on the play clock is not even worth it (delay of game) nor is trying to snap the ball in the middle of a motion to set up a block as use to be allowed- THIS GAME IS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF MADDEN CRAP EA HAS EVER MADE. (I left out a bunch more btw)

I can't wait for their NFL monopolizing license agreement to run out. The lack of competition is what allows them to copy, paste, and resale.

PS3 graphics are sensational though. You can't even tell if its a real or fake fan buying a hot dog at the game. (yippie) :eye roll:

Stick to NCAA.

I heard from many people Madden sucks... My bro bought it and he hates it.. after about 2005, 2006 Madden just did a dive bomb.. I wish they would go back to the Maddens of the late 90's, early 2000's.. those were the best

I have seen Ayodele on a heck of a lot more plays than Crowder. Crowder has shown up on a couple of blitzes and one stop behind the line that I remember, but Akin has been all over the place.

agreed about not being able to put white under center for the wildcat - but besides that i think it's a damn good game. had it about a week now and i haven't thrown anything at the TV just yet. it does suck you can't put white under center for it though.

Another "Leave the KY. Take the canoli (if you know what I mean)" for us Phin fans.

WTF? Seriously? Who wasn't drooling to use this guy in a formation my mother, who still thinks offensive line means derogative script dialogue, knew we were drafting him for.

Compared to other Maddens Dole, I gotta arduosly disagree. The game is is a mockery of sham.

I played a kid online who picked up Phili. Good team I figured. Got my work cut out for me. He proceeded to bench McNabb and do the ol' Atlanta I'll Michael Vick you to death sideline to sideline all day routine. Mind you, I'm experienced with this fraudulent "NFL (it is their stamp after all)" football play. The overwhelming majority of us started out as arcade players before we turned to strategists.

I lost. Barely, but I lost. Know how? Ronnie fumbled twice (only lost 1). Willams fumbled. I couldn't get a PA play off in the midst of even just a mere 1 man blitz. Ted Ginn got injured. I mean God forbid Michael Vick, a QB out of football for two years running around getting hit on 3 of 4 plays should fumble or get injured. How many times Ronnie and Ricky fumble last year? How many did they lose? And why hasn't this programming been figured out yet? Real football isn't played this way. Why should Madden? Blitz isn't making millions is it? Does it even still exist? And why not have a settings option for both: Arcade/Realistic?

I don't wear other player's jerseys even if I admire the player. I don't wear other team's gear even if I enjoy the colors. And I don't play with anyone else except Miami. So crapping on my team is pretty much like crapping out the game especailly if it's baseless (I didn't complain when we were 1-15).

And the above is just favorite team oriented. The game play itself is horrific. What I will agree to is that the game isn't a total bore. You like franchises (that was done for me the moment I figured out how to get the first 6 selections in every draft)? It'll entertain. A friend asks you over? Battle with a few bros with beers is always an interesting afternoon. But the game itself? My ideas would blow EA out of the water and yet they are the ones selling crap for millions while Im taking crap for mildew (perhaps it is spite ).

Edit: Franchise btw could use a ton of work i.e. negotiating player's salaries, trading, scouting (the combine is huge for all us die-hard fans why not play with the idea actually letting us attend and watch the players get their times?) drafting, draft day, switching a players position (as regular in the this sport as a bowel movement should be but EA doesn't seem to think so), etc. i'm telling you brothaman, I can list stuff for days.

 good stuff.

i haven't played it a ton yet - but i've enjoyed it thus far. it's gotten harder on offense - especially running the ball and not having any time to throw the ball - but i kind of like the challenge. i'm more of a defense guy anyway - and that's what i like most about it. the rankings are kind of a sham - but most teams got used the same way we did. i kept the base 3-4 D - i put roth and taylor as the ends - i traded ferg for raji (i control all the teams in franchise mode - i know - i'm lame) - traded whoever for curry - and my D has been damn near unstoppable.

i haven't been able to play online yet b/c my router is on the fritz - but the friends that have come over to play me i have completely dismantled - and they've been playing the game for 10+ years just like me. two years ago it was awful. last year was good and this year is better. i've had every one since i think '94 and i've enjoyed nearly every one.

sounds like someone needs to write a strongly worded letter to EA and/or their congressman.
