Easy Schedule = Maybe a Winning Season?

Ok, Ok...I know it's early. And I know it's only the preseason...

But I just looked at the schedule, and looking at who we play - we have what COULD BE a relatively easy schedule - I think we (again) COULD BE 9-6 going into the final game against the Jets.

Jets (H)- W
Cards - W
Pats - L
Chargers (H) - L
Texans - W
Ravens (H)- W
Bills (H)- W
Broncos - L
Seahaws (H) - L
Raiders (H)- W
Pats (H) - L
Rams - W
Bills (Toronto) - L
Niners (H) - W
Chiefs - W
Jets - ?

The last game just hinges on how both teams develop, as I think we are about even. I think we may have the edge in the first game, especially at home and with some of the Jets' offensive knowledge Pennington brings to the table. Truthfully, I think we could also have a shot at Seattle (flying across the country) and the Bills' Toronto game. Dare I think we could be 9-6 with a playoff berth on the line in week 17?


What do you guys think? Am I just dreamin'?
 
I believe!!! I'm not too sure about some of those wins but I think we can win some of the ones you put down as an L too so...... I think we will have a good season.
 
I think we have a good season but a rough start. Jets, Pats, Chargers in first 4 weeks...I dont like that : /
 
That start of the season is not easy. If we dont beat the Jets in week 1, we then have the Cards in Arizona, the Pats and Chargers. So if we lose that first game we could be looking at 0-4 and the Texans away wont excatly be easy.

That game against the Jets could determine how our season goes
 
look at it this way...we will not be 1-15 again. if we win 5 games, I'll take it. but this team so far ('starters', both sides of ball) is playing very solidly. I am more excited about this season than I have been in many years.
 
If we cant beat the teams that you have us losing to then we really havent improved that much in my opinion. Granted it would be nice to see that many wins but at the same time the tough teams are what is going to define this team. Unfortunately I think the Fins go 6-10. Which is not bad considering most of Parcells' teams usually go about 6-10 the 1st year and then 10-6 or better the next.
 
I HATE threads like this. I'm as optimistic as any, but no one has any idea how good any of these teams will be when we face them. Add to the fact that there are outside variables like weather and injurys, and any W/L prediction is a guess at best.


Case in point: Here are a few threads last year that give predictions of winning seasons and playoff births.

Can I at least say the Jets are in for a spankin' week 1?
 
I think we'll upset a team or two this year but lets keep in mind. We were freakin 1-15 last season.

I also think the Texans will beat us cause they own us haha.

With that said, I think we win 6 games but are waaay more competitive.
