If it looks like Ebron is going to be gone in the draft and Miami is looking at the oline, would anybody be interested in Ed Dickson at tight end? Clay, Dickson, Sims and Egnew might make a decent group of tight ends. Dickson is still fairly young, moves well and could be a seam threat. Of all of the remaining free agents he's one of the few that is in his mid 20's, has starting expeience and fills a need for the Dolphins.

If it were up to me I would have to pass. He is big and has some speed with him but so far he has not really been a wow factor. Granted he is not the number one target and is sitting behind Pitta, he just has not impressed. He had his chance at the starting role twice and only really played solid his first year as a starter. It is good that he is not injury prone and I don't see where he has missed many games but I would rather have Ebron. If things go as you say and we can't land Ebron I would rather take Amaro as option number 2.

There are MORE pressing needs than TE, but to say that team will not double down on the position at some point is silly. It is still a need.

Don't know much about Dickson, but unless we have a breakout year from Egnew, it might be time to move on from him....which would create a need.

Why draft a good tight end? We have an H-Back and a couple of scrubs. Clearly, we have the position covered.

Ed Dixon is a very good TE. More talented than Clay IMO.

I'm with JDW. Clay is a good player that gives you flexibility in the offense. But he is not a good blocker or a big threat in the seem.

Why can't this team ever address the position that has been a cornerstone of other teams offense for years??? A position that would say help a young QB with a consistent safety valve. I'd be pretty happy if Ebron was our pick, but am fully expecting OL unless we sign another FA there. Frankly, if Ebron is not there, I'd much prefer we find Wheeler's replacement than draft OL in the first round.

4 TE's is too many TE's on the roster. Replace Dickson for Egnew and we might have something.

People on this site are overrating the hell out of Clay... he's not a seam threat, isn't much of a red zone threat, does most of his damage at the boundary.. he had a solid season no doubt but we need a true tight end threat opposite of Clay .. I'm hoping Jace is there at 19 if we don't get Ebron.. But if Evans is there I rather go with him, get that big target on our receiving corps for Tannehill .

So, Dickson had 273 yards last year and Clay had 759....yeah...I see your logic there. Here's some logic...Dickson is a ****ing scrub...
