    I always thought Hochuli was one of the best refs until that San Diego v. Denver game. Seemed like he was never the same after blowing the game deciding call.

    I know very well what he did in that game. That was back in the San Diego days...

    He should get a job in the booth as a official analyst as a lot of these networks have. When you're around the nfl this long its hard to let it go I'd imagine. I'm sure it's not the last we'll hear of Ed.

    Everyone hates the refs, but it's a really tough job if we look at things rationally, which, of course, is pretty much impossible for sports fans. Hope he enjoys his retirement.

    Hochuli was always too wordy and seemed to love extending his face time when announcing calls (no surprise since he was an attorney). Not gonna miss him.

    Yeah. It is indeed a tough job. I still won't miss him that much though.
