Is no longer shown on roster at miamidolphins.com and Deke Cooper is #35. Has Jackson been released or traded? (I'm trying to keep my Madden franchise file updated.)
 
go search for it,, b.c this was just asked yesterday or friday, i dont remember the answer
 
NFL.COM has them both on the roster as number 35. Who knows where that will lead but like I said, they are both on the roster.
 
There was never official announcement of a release, he did sign as an Exclusive Rights FA- so we assume he changed his number for Cooper, and the roster just didnt add him yet.

It makes no sense to cut a guy now, because theres no roster maximum.
 
I'm pretty sure he was resigned as an exclusive rights FA to a one yr deal.

If he is, oh well. He doesnt really have a place on this roster anyway. Miami already has Allen, Daniels, Poole, Goodman, Mitchell and Hill can play corner. Plus would anyone be surprised if Saban drafts another corner?

This thread was first posted at 0233 on Friday 4/21 and then when it had fallen off the front page it was asked again in another thread at 2227 that same day.

Jackson is still listed on NFL.com and the "official" Dolphin roster also at NFL.com. It has been speculated that when Deke Cooper signed and was given #35 that somehow Jackson fell off the roster.

He was an exclusive rights free agent and was signed to his one year tender contract the same day as Yeremiah Bell, 3/21/06.

No other mention has been made of Jackson and it is simply assumed the keeper of the Dolphin website has fouled up.

I think you have misread the interest in what happened to Eddie Jackson as support for his making the roster.

I believe that "interest" is instead a symptom of our pathological obbsession with everything having to do with the Miami Dolphins and this board's utter inability to accept ANY unanswered question even if it is the fourth string laundry assistant let alone a third string CB and possible special team flyer!:goof:
