The Jets came into the season as a super bowl contender after a 12-4 run last year. Granted, NY has had a lot of key injuries but a 3-10 record also says a lot about the coaching staff. Maybe Herman Edwards isn't the answer there. Even when the Jets didn't have the injuries, the team always started slowly under Edwards. He's looking more and more like Wannestedt every year. Do you think the Jets take another direction and look for a new coach, or does Edwards get another shot?

i just hope edwards decides to beat the Pat's

Let's hope so. We have to make sure WE beat the Jets and the Bucs beat NE first before we think about the NE Vs. NYJ game.

If Edward gets canned he will surely find his way to another Head Coaching job. He is just too good of a leader and coach. There is no comparison between him and Wanny. I really don't see them getting rid of him.

The Jets players are dropping like flies. Not much you can do with that.

They are both horrible game day coaches!

Shoot I hope he stays. I think he is one of the most over rated HC's to ever coach in the NFL!

If Edwards is fired, I would almost gurantee he'd be the next head coach in Kansas City after Dick Vermiel leaves.

Herm edwards will still be there. simple as that. and how sweet would it be if the jets beat the patsies.

woody johnson said that herm's job is safe a couple of weeks ago. also said that it wasn't herm's fault for the team not performing up to his expectation (kinda hard when your 1st two qb's go down to be any good).

You beat me to it. Yeah, he'll be around next year. The Jets would be dumb to fire him. He's a good coach and there is nobody available that would be better.

I was sure he was staying until you said that. Nothing worse than the dreaded vote of confidence from the owner.

Herm took the jets to the playoffs in 3 of his first 4 years. He is suffering from a year when he lst his #1 and #2 QBs in week 3 and his #1 RB has been playing injured since week 2 and has just been put on IR.

With all the other injuries etc Herm should get a mulligan for this year.

I am pretty sure the jets owner announced he wasnt going anywhere, and said the rumors he is going to oakland are false. Herm Edwards shouldn't be blamed for this season. Not much you can do with that many injuries.
