Let me start off by saying I was happy we picked up Gesicki. but looking at their scouting combine info there is a lot of similarities between the 2. So i am wondering why we believe Gesicki will end up more like a Jimmy Graham and not a Mike Egnew?

Because his combine is indentical to Jimmy Graham’s as well.
Egnew had a pretty good combine too tbh. however, Gesicki is a hard worker and wants it. Egnew was a lazy ass
Given what Grier has said about wanting more alpha personality type players, i dont think he would have ever drafted Egnew, despite physical similarities.
um, who was the head coach and talent elevator when egnew was drafted?
I agree that Gesicki isnt Egnew. But Grier did draft Kallage. An exact replica of Egnew at the RB position...

Its the draft. Hit or miss. I have a strong good feeling for Gesicki. Think he will be a dam great pick in a few years. We already knew Egnew sucked by the 2nd pre season game. I doubt we get that with Gesicki.

Why do we think Minkah Fitzpatrick will end up as a Brock Marion instead of a Jason Allen? You can be a negative nancy all you want, but it comes down to trusting this team’s talent evaluators and coaching staff. Personally, I trust Gase as a coach, so I think Gesecki will do fine.
I don’t get the constant comparisons to failed draft picks. It must be exhausting being so pessimistic all the time.

Thanks for sharing this. Poster said it was close but it appears its not even close. Gesicki is much better movement wise. To me broad jump by 2 inches is not a big deal. But Gesicki is 3 steps faster. Cant wait to see him play in the red zone
