What's up with Emmitt Smith, asked yesterday on the NFL channel how good will Ricky be in first game back. Emmitt says not very and asked how many yards Ricky will get this weekend Emmitt says 25 What tuh! And TD says 40 yds. I think Ricky will have at least 80 yds, and a touch-down.....
 
I'm pretty sure Emmitt said 35 yards and TD said 40 yards. I don't expect Ricky to be anywhere near 100yds his first game back especially against Tampa's D... a TD isn't out of the question if he gets enough carries and playing time which I don't see happening because I'm Saban and the coaching staff are going to break him back in football slowly. He's hasn't played since December 2003, it's now October 2005. I don't expect Ricky to get a lot of carries, but I think he'll get somewhere along the lines of maybe 6-10 carries for maybe around 35-40 yards.
 
i have to agree with those guys, tampa is a great defense and ricky will be splitting carries with ronnie so i will say that 30 - 40 yds, but if it comes to be a homer, ricky will have 150 yds and 2 TDs
 
I beleive Ricky is going to come out wanting to silence the critics and prove to the league he hasn't lost anything. I also beleive Saban will want to silence the people that questioned his motives for bringing him back. I look for Ricky to have the same amount of carries if not more than Ronnie running as hard as he can trying to prove something to evryone. No predictions on the yards though.
 
ricky will be splitting carries. and will most likly be listed as the #2 RB.

40 yards is a good prediction.

dont forget about Brown, he will also break 100 yards rushing, and have 50 yards recieving. :D

Emmitt Smith was overrated. Back to the point

We are going to get over 100 yards rushing. Bend don't break will give us those yards. I am sure of that. Our Oline looks better every game and our running back is running better every game. Now add Ricky. I don't care how good Tampas defense is. We will get 100+ yards on the ground on Sunday.

They play 2 safties deep most of the time, the linebackers backpeddle off the line 2 steps on a run play, their oline is quick and agile and small. Yes they are a very good D.

We are going to run ok on them. I am not saying we are going to do well against their D but our running game is going to do fine.
 
Emmit doesn't matter. HE was a good runningback but was never close to being a great at any point in his 40 year career. TO is a system product and both are haters that will never show anyone who is better than they was any love.

No. They are saving that game for you guys. Ronnie won't even have to play remember how much Ricky loves your D?:evil:
 
i dont even think its about the bucs D, i think its about nick not wanting, or needing, to rush him back... he can be eased in just like ronnie was eased in in preseason after missing half the time... yes ricky has been working out but its still getting back into game form and back with the speed of the game...

im expecting about 10 carries for ricky, and 20 for ronnie... so 40 yards isn't a bad prediction if you ask me...

im starting to think that EVERY RB in the NFL loves our D. :shakeno:

Emmitt was a great back, he was not as good as Barry Sanders but he was great. I expect Ronnie to get most of the carries so i'd be happy with 40 from Ricky.

take off the goggles buddy that is like saying that Dan Marino wasn't great. You may not think that he was the best ever but I think that he makes the top 10 on everyones list.

I see no problem with it, his first practice is tomorrow, and Brown should get most the carries. So I don't see the problem?
