Unbelievably stupid. Regardless of the outcome of this game, wow. Just wow. Joe Philbin... I have no words.

Kickers are 1/8 ALL TIME kicking 50+ yards into the open end of Heinz Field. You elect to do it with a struggling kicker in a damn snowstorm? On 4th and 2 with 22 seconds in the half?

Unreal.

Said it before and got blasted, the guy makes dumb in-game decisions.

Gave up 30 seconds letting the Steelers run out the clock + attempted a 53 yard FG IN THE SNOW vs a 4th & 2.

Genius.
 
So…what is everyone's thoughts on the clock management and deciding not to go for it

with 2 timeouts left and a few yards to go for a first down with a nearly improbably field goal chance? I think it was terrible clock management to let pittsburgh run the clock down and take a delay of game. Same goes for the FG considering the track record of field goals from probably much more experienced kickers. I understand the need for points and a fg is possible but with 2 timeouts, we should have tried to get closer.

Thoughts?

What the hell is doing calling for a 52 yard field goal when they only had to get 2 yards

Wastes 30 seconds with no timeout for the Pittsburgh punt, then the absolute moron fg attempt. Please fire Philbin, and then yourself Ireland.
 
I was screaming at the tv to GO FOR IT!!!

Absolutely stupid decision.
 
They needed to go for it in that situation. The odds were GREATLY not in their favor of knocking through a 50+ yard FG in that stadium, in those conditions, on that side of the field...

Baffling. The guy is Andy Reid 2.0 but not as good at preparation. Pathetic decision. And you neglected to mention the 30 second blunder 3 plays prior.
 
Philbin is a terrible game manager. I have been trying to be as patient as I can, but I am done with him. We have a lot of young talented kids on this team. Philbin is a detriment to their development.
 
This coaching staff is just a hot mess. The last 2 minutes of that half was inexcusable. They look like the coaches of a 2-10 team.

He will never be as good of a coach as Andy reid.
