Did we not spend the 2nd pick in the 2005 draft on our running back of the future? Did Ronnie not show that he is going to be a star in this league?

I am sick and tired of all these threads saying we need another running back. Ronnie average 4.4 ypc last year and if he had played the last 2 games would have had about 1100 yards while spliting carries. Get off this topic and lets go with our guy. I hope Ronnie just tears it up next season and Sammy Morris only sees about 50 carries.

Thank you...

Exacly. It appears like people would like Alexander, L.T, Larry Johnson, Portis, Edge and Brown on the same team. Heck, why not trade our whole team for these players? Why not trade up for the 1st overall pick? Bush would be a nice addition to the team.

Seriously, this is REDICULOUS. Brown is more than a capable starter in this league. This is really starting to get annoying.

Yeah, I don't know why many people on this board aren't confident about Ronnie, I think he can carry the load, he is only going to get better and better with time

I don't get frustrated or angry all that often on this board, but this topic is driving me nuts. I hate the lack of confidence a lot of our fans have in this guy. If you watch him run the football you know this guy will be a star. I am extremly annoyed with all the RB threads, I hope this is the last one and the rest all get merged.

The issue isn't whether Ronnie can succeed. There is no doubt about it. The concern is, if Ronnie were to get hurt, then what...?

Do you think EVERY fan in the league is always thinking "what if our starting back gets hurt!? We NEED two excellent backs!"

Think about it. Only a few starting backs get hurt every year. Not every team in the league is thinking about getting 2-3 excellent backs like people on this board.

What if the Dolphins air plane crashes and we no longer have a football team? We can't ask what if especially on injuries. You can never bank on when an injury might happen or not you just have to play your hardest and hope for the best.

How about you don't come here unless you have something constuctive to say? It just gets really old looking at the Miami Dolphins forum and I see 5-6 threads saying, here's a guy we can get to replace Ricky. RONNIE IS OUR GUY!

Thn we should have back up players making back up money who can come in and fill their shoes....

INjuries are going to happen....we don't need to waste our first rounder on a feeling that ronnie "may" get injured.

Finally...people were fine with just Ronnie here when we drafted him, Ricky just helped him make the NFL transaction and helped carry the load. Ronnie is still the number 2 pick that we picked to be our franchise runningback.

As for how well our depth is, we got Sammy Morris who is solid, and a intresting prospect with KayJay.

This thread should read:
Enough with your personal opinions, let us all settle on this one

I'm not a big fan of threads like this, let people think what they wanna think. The fact is, we have not seen ronnie brown take the bulk of the carries, whether in college or the nfl, so there is reason for doubting him.
