There's talk in San Diego that Eric Parker might be available soon, your thoughts.

Chargers | Parker not at team complex Monday
Mon, 21 Jul 2008 19:42:19 -0700
The Associated Press reports San Diego Chargers WR Eric Parker was not at the team's complex Monday, July 21, and his tenure with the team could end within the next couple of days.

Parker would make an excellent slot receiver if he is healthy. He missed all of the 2007 season because it was slowed to heal after surgery.

He might be worth a look. I would wait too see who else comes available after a couple of other preseason cuts are made.

I never said no to Patrick Surtain. Also, as far as Cleveland waiting for him, don't we have first choice because of the waiver order?

i think we can do better off another teams waivers. if i'm not mistaken he missed all last season with a toe injury. can anybody say oj mcduffie part 2.

and i don't mean the good oj i mean the one who hurt his toe and was done.

cleveland already has braylon edwards donte stallworth and joe jurevicius...

No-one remember how he player against the Pats in the 06 playoff game

Out of curiosity, as far as the waiver wires go, can we claim him and then turn around and trade him (or anyone else since we have first dibs) to Cleveland or whomever? Or does that violate some regulation or other? Strikes me that if there's no problem, we can pre-wheel and deal with a number of teams for present players and future picks by acting as their clearinghouse, so long as we clear roster space....or not?
