Ernest "G.I. Joe" Wilford?

Nice article. One of my friends is a huge Jags fan and Wilford was his favorite player. I think he'll be huge in the red zone and on third downs, especially.

He will also be great in the run game blocking for Ricky and Ronnie. If we get consistent QB play then I would look for a big season from him

that was a very good article and made me much more of a wilford fan.

I like what's been done so far, and "end zone Ernie" fits the bill exactly. Now for some LG ILB and CB's and AFC east teams will be worried.

I thinks its kinda funny that they say he gave the Patriots 'fits' in the divisional round of playoffs the show his statline of 2 catches for 21 yrds. (1 td)

Very good read.....this is all great news, i knew the kind of player he was on the field..... but now it looks like this guy is going to be setting the standard for how a WR should act on this team. I wonder how he would translate to TE if he could add maybe 15-20 lbs. Thats a move that could prolong his career and turn him into a stud. As a WR tho, he and Ginn compliment each other perfectly.

Wilford was rated within the top 40 receivers for the DVOA ratings. This is a reflection of his performance on 3rd downs which is very good. He will not break a long one, but he will move the chains and do well in the red zone. This is great for the Dolphins, but I believe it was his blocking ability that was the reason we signed him. Our receivers have not been good blockers, and it is clear that BP's strategy was to create a power offensive identity. Wilford is an important component in this strategy.
