The fact is it is their job to make an educated prediction.
Look at Detroit. The D is a big ?, and there O has yet to prove a thing. ?'s at Qb, and wr is not a sure thing. Rogers is a play away from an injury, R Williams struggled at times dropping balls at crucial times, and M Williams has yet to play a single down for well over 19 months. I take our qb,RBs',wrs',and D over Det's.
Chicago, well were is the guarantee on there D? Urlacher, if he stays healthy, O-Gun if healthy. Miami's D has more proven talent. Offense has Jones and a guy that had to put up big #'s as the only vet wr on his team. The qb situation is worse than ours by far. Weaker RB&WR position.
Cleveland, nuff said. No starter at rb, that has shown they can stay heakthy and carry a load. Weaker WR corp and aging qb that is behind the only line that might be worse than ours. I take Miami's rb/wr/qb/D/OL
SF. Where to begin. Given
GB,TB,Oak,Ariz,NO,Dal,Wsh,Ten,are teams I do believe we can be better than come January and teams like Sea,Hou,NYG,Cincy, and Baltimore can be caught.
Ther are 12 teams that do not have answers for many ?'s but they have a new coach in his second year or player that has been added and now they will be good!! Ha! Educated is lloking at how the teams played last year given what was going on, injuries, caios, bad coaches and on and on. The Fins' were in every game other than the Jet's game in the 4th qtr. Why is it so hard to believe that you can turn an 11-5,10-6,10-6,4-12 team over the last 4 years into an 8-8 team?
Not to say we will have better records than all of those, but it is possible. We all know that our team has concerns, name 1 that does not. We all know our D will do a good job. If the O can just be a little bit better than last year, which it will be, you can atleast give us 4 of the 11 losses from last year. That is an 8-8 team.
