ESPN-chad P knows henne is the future

yes it is a good read, but we'll see what happens once the season starts...Henne does sound like he wants to be starting now,and it's good that he's chomping at the bit to be our starting QB,but he does need to be learning all he can from Pennington right now...use Chad P and become a sponge...soaking up all his knowledge, and thereby improving his own game...

I see no reason why Chad Pennington can not be the same type of mentor that Don Strock was to Dan Mariono in his early years. Heck they both even wear #10.

as much as i didn't like chad at NY ... now we kinda learn who he is more, and what a gentleman he is... no wonder they want to put henne in the huddle as fast as possible, letting penny be the starter for too long might give too much of a comfort zone for other players with him. i mean... he's such a good guy, good leader, sometimes, seeing a teammate like that will give you that bittersweet feeling (although i think that feeling will be there when he leaves, even if he plays just one more season)

i wish him all the best for this season and further on in his career/life , wether it be with the dolphins or any team

If we move on to Henne in 2010 like speculated, I don't see Pennington staying a Fin. I'd

I think they like what they see and expect Henne to beat out Pennington. I don't think this FO would just let Pennington walk if Henne doesn't take the starting job. This doesn't strike me as a staff that just gives away starting positions.

But if Henne earns it then power to him, he must really have it.

Trade Henne and avoid the disappointment.

Henne isn't the SB ticket you think he is.

this will be penningtons last year with us, unless he brings us to the superbowl and his an amazing season, even more so than he performed this last season.

I have a feeling that all this Henne talk is just lighting a bigger fire under Pennington's ***.

I truely believe that Penny will stay healthy this year, and I believe that he will play well. However, our schedule is gonna be BRUTAL, and if we fall out of playoff contention I think that Henne will get his shot. This will reflect alot on 2010.

If Henne doesn't get much playing time and the job is handed to him or even if training camp in 2010 is gonna be an open competition, I really don't think that Penny will stick around. He will likely be one of the top if not the #1 free agent QB on the market, and someone will certainly pick him up as a starter if Miami doesn't want him around.
