Next up (or up soon) on ESPN SportsCenter - a segment on what Nick Saban sees in Marcus Vick. Just thought that I'd let everyone on here know.

Salisbury said that Vick is "no risk" whatsoever, because there is almost nothing but up potential with very little money lost if he doesn't work out.

Clayton said that Vick won't make the roster. Not even a chance.

Clayton said that he's not real fast. He said that he ran a 4.41 (I think that was it), and he's nowhere near as fast as his brother's 4.2/4.3 time. And not fast enough as other WRs.

Vick is an athlete who played the most demanding position in football. Speed on a track is one thing, but have mental speed and grat vision can make a guy a nightmare to cover. OJ McDuffie anyone?

Now, I am not saying Vick is as talented as OJ; however, I think he beats out Welker for a roster spot. he can do eberything Wes can do, is bigger, and can throw as well.

uhh out of your 40 words or so only 20 are correct. he never said his time. He siad he is a 4.5. 4.6 guy and that he wont make the roster and will mainly play WR then Sean said that he hsould give hima chancee to play before you judge him adn say he wont make the roster.

did you see that video someon posted where he ran out of bounce but DECKED teh defender while he went out. thast the type of attitude we need and aggressive play. I think he'll be a good WR and taht is due to his attitude as well. He has that tough A-Hole attitude but thats the attitude you need in football to a degree and i believe that will help him be a good player on the field.

I don't see what all the hype is about this loser. I live in Atlanta where his brother is a joke, he's more well known for his Ron Mexico herpes donating and hanging out with rapper TI (who just got a childhood friend shot and killed in Ohio) than his QB skills. His little brother is well ahead of his older brother in the trouble catagory. The little punk was in trouble in VA all the time, and you mean to tell me he'll be on his best behavior in South Beach with a little bit of money in his pocket? Hell no he won't. He'll be in trouble faster than the Herpes outbreak in Atlanta during the Falcons postseason!!!!!

maybe he didn't have a guy like saban as a father figure and teaching him right from wrong and being tough on him. Saban is a peoples person so obvoiusly he thinks it is somethign that is fixable and obtainable.

Could be, but you've got to look at this as a business deal and weigh out the risk vs. reward factor. I don't see the reward being greater than the risk. What does he offer that we don't already have? Kelly Cambell is just as fast if not faster, and has NFL experience at WR and KR and PR! Vick hasn't done any experience in the NFL and only one full season at VT. If you don't believe in the risk vs. reward factor, then just think about the Eagles and TO last year? Think the Eagles will consider it from now on, you bet they will!

i see what your saying, but i dont really see signing vick as really a risk at all because we arnt paying him big money and hes at best a 5th string guy. If he makes a fool out of himself im sure saban would have no problem with getting rid of him and it wouldnt hurt the team, but if he cleans up his off the field issues and really works hard he can turn into an excellent wr option with his quick speen and could factor in trick plays such as the wr pass which we have marty currently doing, and im sure vick could do a better job with throwing the ball. Its a big media issue but i really dont see much of it being a distraction to the team, i think saban has hes reasons for signing him and has already made it clear to vick and the team that he will not accept intolerable behavior
