Trent Edwards is making a lot of teams regret not drafting him.

The Miami Dolphins surely are among them. Yes, the front office infrastructure has dramatically changed since Bill Parcells was brought in 10 months ago. The scouting department and coaching staff have been overhauled.

But John Beck remains. Former Dolphins general manager Randy Mueller, with input from former head coach Cam Cameron, made Brigham Young quarterback John Beck the 40th selection of last year's draft.

Yea too bad some other team did not draft Beck since our next choice was Edwards but you can look back at any draft and say we should have taken this and that guy. I wanted Edwards bad and was constantly blasted that Beck was a better choice.

The draft is a crap shoot sometimes. Obviously Edwards would have been a better pick than Beck, however when the draft happened in 07' it didn't look that way. Edwards was a QB who was injured most of his time at Stanford and really didn't do much to impress pro scouts. Beck on the other hand lit things up at BYU.

I think the whole argument of Beck Vs Edwards will become moot. Chad Henne is a young QB with a boat load of talent. He was very good at Michigan(Tom Brady's school) and showed glimpses of greatness in the preseason and in his time against the Cardinals.

We can argue Beck Vs Edwards for as long as we want. However, a few years from now, Beck won't even be in the conversation. The real future matchup is Henne Vs Edwards.

The problem with that is we basically wasted a second rounder. I think both Qb's Henne and Edwards will be fine NFL qb's.

Watch Euro soccer they NEVERRRRRRRRRR DO that. I dont recall Ronaldo from ManU once being compared to any other player on a daily basis for hours a day. Only in America we do this. FOr cryign out loud they compared Wade to Jordan during Wades first Finals Game before the game.

i wonder who and when, if not us, would have taken Beck... The next QB taken was Drew Stanton to Detroit.. Perhaps Buffalo would have ended up with Beck in the 3rd if we drafted Edwards and the tales would be turned

Edwards numbers havent been mind boggling persay, but he has done an excellent job leading the team and minimizing mistakes..alot like Chad Pennington if you ask me.
