ESPN Dolphins reporter James Walker reports DT Earl Mitchell could be a cap cut.

Signed to a four-year, $16 million contract prior to the 2014 season, Mitchell has recorded two sacks and 55 tackles in 28 games with the Dolphins. He battled back and calf injuries last season and never settled in next to Ndamukong Suh. Miami can save $2.5 million against the cap by releasing Mitchell.

Oh well... Never really made a difference Especially with suh getting all the attention

I hope he gets cut. We can do much better than him. He ranked in the bottom third in the league for starting DTs

Mitchell gets pushed around far too much. He can't hold the point and gets washed out of too many plays. Especially bad considering he plays next to Suh.

so could anyone. either way James Walker would be the last to know

Never understood why we let Starks go for this scrub but oh well

We need to get a block/space eating DT in there next to Suh so he can go back to being that penetrating dominant DT we signed.

Good. I said to trade him for a G last season and was berated because it was "stupid to trade depth" lol

Anyone remember the hype on this guy when he was brought in?

I would have berated you because his trade value was not enough to get a starting guard lol:brewskis:
