Espn Mag-Best rookie QB ever

Flacco is up way to high, he should be below Ryan. Other then that the list seems to check out.
 
Flacco shouldn't be any higher than maybe honorable mention. Bauer is not too bright if he thinks that. Baltimore is only where they are because of their strong defense. As for Ryan, he is the best rookie of the 2008 season and deserves to be on the list. Cut the unibrow off.

Ummmm....yea. I said over a month ago that I thought the Ravens were the best team in the AFC, despite losing twice to the Steelers.

In regards to Flacco making the list because they're in the AFC Championship. Screw that. He completed 9 of 23 passes against us for like....135 yards. Everybody knows he's there because of the defense. just because the team is good, that doesn't make him the 5th best rookie QB ever.
 
Thats how it should be. Flacco shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence as Marino because of the Defense he has.
 
It is absolutely ridiculous to have Flacco in the top five just because he made it to the AFC championship game. He has 20 completions in 2 games. His defense has caused 8 turnovers in 2 games. This is just ESPN ignoring the obvious and hopping on a band wagon.
 
And if you check their other top tens, they have a top 5 storylines from this season and they don't have Miami's turnaround. They do manage to rank the falcons, titans and even lions as bigger stories than Miami going from 1-15 to division winners. That is idiotic.
 
Flacco is a hot topic, and a current event.
While I really like the guy, and am elated we have him, his potential as a Raven QB excites me alot more than his current stats do, and considering what we've had to work with in the past, that means alot.

If I was a Ravens Fan I would be completely crazy about him. His potential is absolutely through the roof. We are not putting down Flacco at all he has played marvelous this year. But the article is listing the 5 Greatest Rookie QB's ever. Flacco's stats do not hang with any of the other QB's and are also dwarfed by Ryan's.
I think he will end up being a good QB, but this should be all about the rookie year.
 
Any top list that does not include Ryan is flawed. I think Ryan was the best rookie qb ever including Marino. Marino had a team that was coming off a superbowl loss around him. I still think marino was the best q f all time but Ryan in my opinion was the best rookie Qb all time.

Your love for Matt Ryan is a pretty incredible thing. Ryan threw 16 td's and 11 int his rookie year while Dan Marino had 20 and 6 in only 9 games started. Ryan isn't close to Marino.

Its not about Ryan love as you call. marino is my favorite football player ever. Its about my honest opinion. Marino took over at qb for a team that had almost just won a super bowl. He had a few games to prepare. Ryan played from day one on a team that was among the worst the previous year. There is a great differance. Both Marino and Roth had much better teams around them as did Flacco. No Qb has ever played as well as Ryan did as a rookie with a team that was not already good.

This is what makes me differant than many on this board, I can give an honest opinion without regard to what my favorite team or player is. Dan Marino was the best qb of all time and him being my favorite player has nothing to do with that opinion. So respectfully you are way off base in this accusation, if you can see nothing else about me on this board I dont base my opinions on emotional attachment.
