ESPN - NFL Playoff Machine 2014

i just did mine with us finishing 10-6 and losing to the pats, and we get the 6th seed playing in pitt in 1st round.

i also didnt do anything crazy to get to this scenario.
 
You'd think from all the panic stricken folks on the dolphins forums (not just here) that we'd have to win out and everyone else lose out to make it in. We have a decent shot to make the playoffs. Either way, the team is good. I'm not gonna freak out and give up all hope over a close road loss to denver. The future (and hopefully present) looks bright for this team

Agreed.

AFC North beating the crap out of each other opens up a lot.
 
If we can go 10-6 there is a very good chance we will make the playoffs. Its not a guarantee...but a very good chance. The hard part will be going 4-1 down the stretch...on paper it looks very doable but we have to make it happen.

That said if we can get into the playoffs...especially on a 4-1 streak it probably means we are going in pretty hot...and this team could actually make some noise
 
I picked all the remaining games and the Dolphins got the 6th seed at 10-6 playing against the Colts.

I had the Dolphins only loss to he Patriots. If the Dolphins go 10-6 with a loss to the Pats they have a great shot at the 6 seed. At 9-7 it's over unfortunately...
 
folks it all comes down to the Baltimore game. I went through and had us losing to Baltimore and we finish 9-7 just out of the wildcard behind Cincy. If we beat Baltimore I love our chances... if we lose see ya in 2015.

Basically.

Ravens game is the season (obviously winning out and a L vs Pats)

Finally, a sense of reason. That's what this board is drastically missing at times, especially after a loss.
 
The thing some people don't get is that the KC tiebreaker over us will not matter if we finish at 10-6 with them and at least 1 other team (although, I believe with KC's schedule, they'll finish 9-7).
 
Sweeping the jets is going to be harder than people think, unfortunately. Division games are never a gimmie. Just look at Oakland/Kansas game. I also don't think a loss to the Pats is a lock. Miami does need to go 4-1 the rest of the way though. And that 1 loss can't come to the Ravens.

Agreed, the Jets do scare me, especially with Geno out of the picture... I'm just hoping he Dolphins don't disappoint because they SHOULD win...
 
I think the Fins can beat the pats, but beating the Jets twice will be hard, and the Ravens are no pushover either.

Disagree. The Jets game is first. Win that and it's onto the Ravens. Win that, lose in NE, it's then all about beating the Vikings and Jets at home. Only then is there a chance.
