I bought three mags on the draft. Here are the summaries of what they said about Miami. Tell me if you want to know anything about anyone or anything else specifically.
ESPN:
Miami Dolphins Top Targets (Needs) :
1. OT (Line is improving but needs talent and youth)
2. DT (Aging)
3. CB (Three adequate CBs but could really benefit from a premier corner)
4. QB (14 TDs and 18 INTs last year from Harrington/Culpepper)
5. DE (Roth is developing but JT is 33 and not much depth behind them)
Game Plan= Miami could use an OT to protect the QB but Joe Thomas will be gone at 9 and Levi Brown is a reach. If we don’t trade up or down, they could grab CB Leon Hall or DT Alan Branch and target Michigan OT Joe Staley in the second round. Miami hasn’t selected a QB since 2001 and could grab a Troy Smith or Kevin Kolb in the middle rounds and depth in the secondary and trenches in later rounds.
Mock Draft: Kiper sees Quinn slipping to us and compares our grabbing of him later than expected to Marino slipping in the 1983 draft. He also predicts us grabbing Fresno State WR Paul Williams later on, a work in progress with great size. Ironically, Williams is compared to Chris Chambers and is labeled a great athlete but an unpolished footballer.
PFW:

PFW:
Team Needs:
- QB (17 years since a drafted QB made our team :nono: )
- OT (Overachieving unit needs new blood)
- DE (Besides LB/DE star Taylor, all we have is Roth)
- RB (PFW believes Williams is gone and Ronnie needs someone to give him a breather)----which I agree he needs a compliment but a. ricky will be back and b. its not that big of a need)
- DT (Senior citizen unit needs help)
