It’s amazing what can happen when you consistently play mistake-free football.

Case in point: Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, whose team extended its winning streak to six games with a victory over the 49ers on Sunday. This marks the first time the Dolphins have won six in a row since 2005.

Ryan Tannehill- 2016

The emergence of Jay Ajayi as a premier running back has had numerous benefits for the Dolphins. It has made things easier for Tannehill in the passing game.
Tannehill threw for 285 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and took only two sacks. The chart on the right shows the vast difference between Tannehill's performance in terms of interceptions and sacks during the Dolphins' 1-4 start and their 6-0 run.

Always stood behind him...I've wavered a tad on a couple occasions, but have always known he had it in him. The flashes were there, just not so much on the consistency.

Let's hope it keeps rollin'!

It's interesting certain posters have disappeared completely during this successful streak. Could they really be upset over being wrong rather than enjoying this?

For now?

The dip**** ESPN writer couldn't even attach his name to the article.

The writer also proclaimed that Ajayi's emergence is the reason. Has he helped? Certainly.

But meanwhile in his past 3 games JA has only produced games of 77, 79, and 45 yards while Tannehill has completed 70% of his passes and has thrown for 7 TD's behind the same patchwork line.

Eat a dick Disney Network.

 :brewskis:

I was really worried he finally got Carr'd this season. I wouldn't have even blamed him if he was. I have no clue how he has taken the punishment he has and still keeps bouncing back.

Thanks, I was writing a response that had your main points but I was so annoyed that I wasn't writing clearly. Do the TOS allow you to prescribe a diet to Mickey?

Well, I didn't circumvent the profanity filter and it wasn't a personal attack toward any member, so . . . . I sure hope so as I've managed to keep my nose clean in the infraction dept. since my return. :chuckle:

It's worse than that...here's an excerpt from the "stats article"

Sunday’s win was one in which Tannehill made a couple of big-time throws when he really needed to do so. He was 3-for-3 for 106 yards and a touchdown on passes at least 15 yards downfield. In the first five games of the winning streak, he totaled three completions (on nine attempts) on throws of that length.

WTF ESPN. I can recall 4 completions longer than that in the SD game alone. The TD to Stills; the sideline throw to Parker; the TD fade to Williams and the deep corner to Landry to set up a late TD. That's off the top of my head...

Yep, trust the organization that comes up with a rating system for quarterbacks that no one can verify to report accurately.

You won't see them, people can seldom eat humble pie.

Honestly this was a near perfect game for Ryan Tannehill. He made strong, accurate throws, good decisions and moved well in the pocket. I was impressed with his game.

I do want to see him slide when he's scrambling rather than challenging for extra yards. We know he's tough, but staying healthy is more important than an extra yard or two in that situation.

Certainly disappointed that Miami came up empty after the long return by Kenyon Drake. There were several really bad offensive series. I thought Tannehill might have had enough time to get rid of the ball on that third down play and keep a field goal attempt alive. But, overall this was an elite type performance albeit against a team that isn't very good on defense.

Nice. Good thing we got rid of turnstile turner and lookout block thomas. Amazing how pocket awareness magically increases when he doesn't have a rush constantly coming after him play after play right after he calls hike and so does completion percent, turnover ratio, and our running game improves. Pretty sure Dolphin fans been trying to get rid of those 2 for years now.

Late in the 4th if Laundry catches that ball for a first near sideline, game is basically over, instead had to sweat it out. Tannehill was on fire most of the game
