In the Magazine they talk about the last 5 drafts of every team.
The Dolphins have traded more draft value for veterans then any other team (including the redskins) have not drafted a QB, yet have traded 5 picks for veteran QB's.They say the Pats 2002 and 2003 drafts are considered among the best of the decade. In 2002 they had 6 picks which they got Graham, Branch, Jarvis Green, and Givens. 2003 they drafted Warren. Wilson, Samual, Koppen,Banta-Cain. Thats 5 starters from their team last year drafted in 1 draft, they also aquired an additional pick that draft that turned into Wilfork. That is why they are on top and we are not.

Just sick . . . honestly I will be breaking things if we give up a second for Trent Green. If this is what KC wants, he will NOT be a Dolphin. Nobody could agree to that . . . hell atleast Feeley brought potential and youth, Pep brought an explosive 04 season and athletic ability . . . Green is 37, even a sixth is kinda risky IMO, I wouldn't do it . . . it hasn't worked . . . what makes u think it will now.

Pats definitely know what they are doing. They got some luck w/ Brady, but still . . . atleast they drafted a QB, we can't even seem to do that . . . not even in the seventh round.

well if we would draft more big 12 players our drafts would rise to the top.:D
what this team needs is more orange power and sooner spirits on the team ,:D
seriously our team has been done in by our gm and so called head coachs (cough) wanny (saban) cough

I see change on the horizon though. We have 8 draft picks and would have 9 if Wilkenson went to Denver. I really think we will draft a QB this year as early as the 2nd (unless Quinn falls to us).

Yeah we need our picks, But you can't disagree with the Daunte Culpepper trade. I mean for what they wanted was not a bad deal. Just because you draft a QB does not mean he is gunna be great either

was it another conditional or whater pick? compensary pick forf wilfork?

I agree that our drafts have been poor. Although Nick's first draft was better than average. None of that matters. I was excited when I heard that Mueller was hired as a GM. I am very happy that he finally can show us why he has always been successful in th past!

Yea I mean for what he had . . . he did great. He got a starting RB, a starting DE, a starting LB, possible starting CB, who started before (Daniels), possible starting LT/OL this year in Alabi and a guy the team deals with in Vickerson in the 7th round. . . how can u be upset w/ that. Honestly, I think his 2006 draft will be good as well . . . I could see Allen, Hagan, Toledo, Rod Wright and Fred Evans all having an impact this season. IMO Saban had real solid drafts.

He just flipped out with the lack of success and w/ the failed Daunte experiement (well atleast last year it failed).

I agree, The drafts were pretty good. Saban just couldn't handle the pressure of the National Football League. I think J Allen does have potential and wasn't just a bust. With some training this Off Season and time to learn the defence I think he could do alright. And I'm not giving up on Daunte either.

someone...KB or maybe Boomer(please forgive me if I am wrong) did a real nice job of laying this subject out.. it was stunning just how poor we have done. We are the worse... by a lot. If I could recall what it was called I would pull it up.. maybe someone remembers? It would be relevant to this thread.

Saban's draft's were not yet included but I agree with Kdawg... I think we will soon look back at Nick's drafts and smile.
