I suspect if they want to keep him beyond the 2026 season, they will restructure his contract within the next year. I don’t care how great he has been with the Dolphins. I just don’t see them paying a 32 year old Hill a base salary of $44,000,000 in 2026.

They will either have to trade him, cut him or restructure his contract before the 2026 season and if he has another great season in 2024, I would imagine they would prefer a restructure over the other two options.

I like Darlington because he is a south Florida guy.

But his analysis isnt the best, he has a New Yorkesque type of feel. Kind of pro-NorthEastern teams are better kind of mindset it seems sometimes

I mean if they want to keep him they will have to tear up contract or adjust it. His cap it in new few years is like 40 million and 50 million. That’s not happening like 1972 said above

I would like to see the team be more proactive with Holland and try to get him locked up.

I would wait a little on Phillips to make sure he is back to his fighting weight.

And I would redo Hill's contract since he seems to love South Florida and looks to have a lot left in the tank,

The team needs Chop to be the real deal so they can jettison Chubb and create some much needed Cap Space.

One of the values of Tua's big contract is that it will allow them to move his money around and create Cap Space, assuming he is playing well enough that they will want him in 4 years.

Of course they are gonna restructure his contract add some more gurantees and he’ll be here for another 2-3 years easy. Hill is not going anywhere.

Phillips will probably want to bet on himself too as opposed to taking a deal now that will likely have less guarantees due to injury/recovery. They probably want to see if Holland takes that next step but that could be costly also. Thats an interesting situation. Holland wants to be paid a premium at a position that is slowly creeping up on RB value.

Hope to see Phillips make a full recovery and stay healthy, and Chop reaching his potential early. That way we can move on from Chubb as soon as there’s an out.

He was wrong on Tua but like some of us have been saying Hill will be next

I believe all the so called experts who make predictions are nothing more than outsiders who are just guessing what will happen. They are hoping they get some of their guesses right, so some people will actually think they have inside information.

I think any average fan that follows the Dolphins expect that the Dolphins will restructure the Hill contract eventually. It doesn’t take a genius or a reported NFL insider to figure that out.

Achane and Washington will take his place he's not getting more $
Achane is a RB and not a WR. Washington has yet to play a single down in the NFL. While he might eventually become a solid WR in the NFL, there is also a chance he is just isn’t good enough to play in the NFL. Only time will tell.
I expect Hill to remain a Dolphin for the next three years if he remains healthy. So they will have to restructure his present contract to make the money work but I do believe he will eventually end up making more money over the long term than his present contract will pay him.
