Many are concerned that Bill Parcells might leave.
But here's a better question:

Where would he go?

Parcells lives in Jupiter.
He likes golf and the track.
And he likes getting his ego stroked, even if he's (supposedly) trying to stay out of the spotlight.
It comes down to lifestyle and profile.

My point?

We're all making too big a deal out of this story.
It strikes me as a negotiating ploy, nothing more.

Well i say give him the big contract he wants... he has proven he is worth it even if it is only for the next few years. god knows we could be a super bowl contender next year with a few upgrades at key positions and a continuation of coaching trends and good solid drafting!

We aren't good enough to make it this year... we are hungy enough though. Next year we will be hungry AND good!

i agree that if it is a ploy for more money,then pay him to stay,AND give Ireland&Sparano raises as well....

Why would Parcells want to work three more years (or how ever long) to make the same money he could get by opting out of his contract now?! It would be like working for free. How can the guy NOT take the money?!

I think we are going to have to restructure our deal with him if we want to keep him.
