Im not the biggest fan of Philbin. Dont even believe he has justified himself to be our HC, but more importantly, keeping Lazor, Coyle and just as important Benton together for the next 2-3 years is essential.

In 2016 we can rid ourselves of the crazy contracts given to Wallace, Hartline, Ellerbe, Wheeler & Misi.

When you consider Hickeys 2014 draft, if he can get another couple of WR's, a big red zone TE to complement Clay and a couple of interior O'lineman in the next 2, together with keeping Lazor & Benton, we will have a really strong Offense. This in my mind would suit Coyles D, which is far better attacking the pass.

With the spread Offense WR's are loading up the drafts, interior O'lineman can be had lower in rounds, Hickey could really load up the weapons and O'line over the next couple of years and give us a real chance to overthrow NE.

Finishing 8-8 means they lost one of the final two home games vs the Vikings or Jets (bottom feeder teams) closing out the season in such disappointing fashion (1-3) wouldn't be progress, it would be more of the same (like last year)

Finishing 9-7 with losses to Ravens and Pats I could understand, but not 8-8.

contrary to popular belief, losses aren't 100 % Philbin's fault, so if those guys manage to only go 1-3 over the next four weeks, no one is safe.

Lol at this thread. If we go 8-8 that means we go 1-3 in the last 4 games. If that happens his @$$ blew another season.

Fair point!:up::up::up::up:

8-8 = walking papers for Joe. That would essentially cement that he cannot prepare his team in big moments. A 1-3 finish after last season's disastrous finish would certainly be worthy of a sacking.

Joe will come back at 8-8. He SHOULD be back at 9 wins or better. 7 wins, he should be axed.

He is not the answer at coach. He gives little to no advantage on game day, but he will come back.

8-8 means we finish the last six games at 2-4. Previous two years we were 3-3 in the same span. IMO, no way Joe is retained under those circumstances.

I dont see a 1-3 finish but I do know that philbin takes too much heat around here

You really think Ross, after the backlash of another crap finish, would let him return? Man I hope not! I would love to be wrong, but I agree, Joe is not a big game coach. Maybe that changes today and he proves us all wrong over this final month. He just too often looks like a deer in headlights, caught off guard by the way things are going. I will give him credit for some of the halftime adjustments he has made, but the top coaches don't need a 15 minute intermission to see what is going wrong.

Just curious how you feel about losing the rest of the coaching staff, or not that much of a big deal? To me that plays into the equation this time more than usual but maybe I'm over thinking it.
