Every Tannehill Dropback vs Kansas City

He threw some that were not on point obviously, but how anyone can watch that and say that it's a fact that he doesn't throw accurate (or at least didn't in this game) is beyond me. Saw receivers being led and some needle threading throws. Only a couple of ill-advised ones and he did hold the ball too long a few times. The play calling just stands out to me as boring and predictable.

Sad, sad, sad!! notice how WRs are well covered ? You have to throw almost a perfect pass at every instance because our receivers don't usually get "wide open". Even Marino will struggle in this offense and the personnel.

He makes some incredible throws at times, that's what for two years nobody has even entertained the idea of a benching. A lot of potential. But how long can one wait?

His only problem is consistency.....if he can be consistent he will be a much better QB, the decision making will come with playing time....good shot of that 3rd and 1 in the 4th quarter when he had two guys open in the flat but took a sack while looking down field...that was a big play in the game, he converts that we have a 1st and 10 at the KC 40 down by 6.......

3rd & 1 and they call a PA pass with a 7 step drop. LOL!!!!!! What a terrible play call. Jesus.

How about they run the ball there.

The play calling was far worse than the QB play in that game. Overall I thought Tannehill played excellent in the first half, in the second half he pretty much sucked, but boy his wrs sure don't do him any favors. Wallace was the only one doing a damn thing as a wr. At some point we are going to face the fact that we have Wallace and then a bunch of slow 3rd-4th option wrs with suspect hands.

His problem imo right now is he is playing scared. He is checking down way too quickly and not trying to make any big plays. Everything is just quick 5 yard tosses to guys that are covered or are gonna get smeared because teams are digging in and pushing us backwards. The problem is the line hasn't given him enough confidence yet to overcome some of the severe beatings he took last year. I worry he may end up like so many other young qb's that get shellshocked early in their careers....never the same again. Snap out of it tannehill! Time is running out and your fans don't want another 3 year rebuild.

Actually he needed to check down more. He was looking for big plays and they weren't there. On that one time they tried throwing deep to Wallace when he got tangled up and went out of bounds, he had Gibson open underneath on a check down.

Well, we were down two scores with two minutes to play. Down and distance shouldn't really factor into your play calling anymore at that point.

Unreal that just watching a cut up like that brought back the sick feeling I get every time our offense is on the field. A cut up of all back to back passes should naturally make you feel better, not the case here. Still not enough extraordinary plays. The one really nice play you could say he went above and beyond was the throw to Miller while getting tackled. Just one roll out where he either threw it away or was just a terrible throw.

I've made this point before but I believe his problem is he seems to have terrible "throttle control." At the end of halves when he realizes its time to step on the gas he's very good. But outside of those times he drives like a little old lady with one foot barely on the gas and the other checking the brakes every 3 seconds. If you're at 100% in the 2 minute drill you need to be at 80% the rest of the time, but my gut tells me he's more at 30%. Just too lackadaisical until it really matters. It should almost always really matter in the NFL.

that jumped out at me also.

If I'm not mistaken, they were down 6 with 10 minutes to go (unless we are talking about different plays).

Several people have brought up this play. I think it was a great time to take a shot. There was a single high safety. A poor route and a poor throw killed that play.

What stuck out to me was how often he got hit!! His line was absolute garbage that game. I don't care who you have as QB with that kind of pressure and play calling any QB will struggle.
Thanks for posting that was an eye opener.
