i LOVE this site, but boy there are a whole lot of bandwagoners that open their mouth without thinking. all this "saban sucks" stuff is making me very irritated. same with the "chambers cant play" and the list goes on and on.
nick is a great coach. i couldnt be happier and excited for the future. the keyword being future. what coach is the world can take a 4-12 team and turn it into a champion. look at this draft and once he gets rid of the duds and gets some more people he picks it will be fine.
linehan is a good coordinator. true, he needs to use his talent better and know that he doesnt have culpepper and moss. he will work out once he finds this out if he stays.
chris is an excellent reciever. everybody drops balls.

bottom line is that i am so excited about the dolphins' future that i am willing to be patient.

I agree. But these chicken little posters are not going to go away. They just can't seem to comprehend that this is going to be a process. I am willing to be bad for a couple of years and give Saban a chance to get his type of players in here. Once he does, we will be back in the playoffs. BOOK IT!

Yes, but it's just hard to look this bad. I am still proud to be a dolphins fan and can't wait until the good days return.

Me too. We just need to shake off the loss, realize that we are not a good team and it will take some drafts and FA periods to become good.

wasnt SD 4-12 2 years ago and they turned around....just playing devil's advocate

I think people type with their heart instead of their heads

That's part of the problem... it hurts so much to see how this team is struggling. All I want at this point is to see a "little" improvement. Is that too much to expect?

Great post, I agree, this thing is going to get turned around, this year..no, next year..I don't think so, but give it a few years and we will have something, I feel it.

I disagree with the thread starters opinion of Chambers, he isn't excellent as a #1 WR, he'd be a great #2 guy...I don't think he earns the money he is recieving, just my opinion...But great post concentrating on being patient.

I hope that there is only 1 bad year. I don't know what I'd do if I had to suffer through another bad year. Last winter and this winter will be long and hard to get through realizing the team is not good.

Actually thats a bad example. That Charger team had been rebuilding for about 4 years (actually 10 if you consider the fact that they hadn't been to the playoffs since 95). Marty was in his went 4-12 in his 3rd season and 12-4 in his 4th. That Charger team also had the best running back in the league and a QB with talent that just took a couple years to get it together. We are in our 1rst year of a rebuiding process (not 4th like the Chargers) and we have a rookie head coach.

The improvement we have seen so far this year is our OLine. Other than that, the defense is heading in the wrong direction and we definitely need a QB. Miami's good times will come again...we just have to be patient. Losing sucks but what can we expect after Wanny destroyed our team?
The good times will come again...in time.

so what youre saying is that it WONT take us 4 years to rebuild?

I agree. I was including the 2004 season along with this season as the couple of bad years. I expect us to win around 8-9 games in 2006.

Once this team beat Denver and Carolina and started out hot, expectations soared when realistically they shouldnt have. Everybody started thinking playoffs, including myself, when we really should just be thinking about the future.

It will get better sooner than y'all think. I think now that QB isn't the only thing we need in the offseason. At the risk of stating the obvious it's time for the defense to get an injection of youth and talent. Jason and Zach will retire as Dolphins but get younger and stronger in the middle of the line. The secondary well.... you know the rest. All it takes is one solid draft, I have no faith in free agency anymore.
