We need to just step back and take a deep breath. Our defense was terrible, that is true. But we're not going to be playing Brady every game, not every team is going to have a duel TE threat, not every team is going to be able to run no huddle for about half the game. It's the first game, and the lockout showed on our D, they looked rusty, but Mike Nolan will get it together. We'll be calling Will Allen for sure tonight. Polite will be getting a call also (although I laughed my *** off when I saw Soliai as our FB).
On the offensive side, Henne had one hell of a game. Looks like he could be our future QB. Daboll called an excellent game (with the exception of that stupid 2nd n 23 running play, and the fade route at the goal line WHEN YOU NEEDED A HALF YARD....Henne's never been able to get the fade route down). Henne looked composed, knew when to scramble, picked up plenty of yardage. Bess did his thing, Fasano had some great catches, Marshall was nasty, Bush looked good (when he was used).
Vontae got what he deserved for jinxing himself. How could we have the advantage of the heat and be so out of shape? Defense has a week to get it together against a good Houston team.
