But honestly, he's f*cked us up on more than one occasion, and that was while we had a good defense. Now granted, I didn't pay that much attention to him, except when the Fins were playing him, but is his arm really that bad?

Obviously he doesn't have a great long ball, but is it really that bad?
And last time I checked, particularly last season, we didn't even take shots down field anyways.

I was at the Jets Game in Miami last year, when we got blown out. Beck threw a lousy floater that sailed way over the head of Ginn and out of the endzone, but everyone stood up and cheered in mockery because we actually took a shot over 20 yards.

So in my opinion, he has a better passer rating than than any of out qb's in the past several years. I could care less if he dumps it off, or throws check down or what have you. If he is getting first downs and gets us close enough for Ronnie or Ricky to pount it in the endzone, then I am happy.

I'm not dogging him out. He's smart, efficient and manages the game well which is what we need right now with two young qbs' that are learning and a defense thats full of personel changes.

In other words, he's what they were hoping to have in a veteran (qualities), that McCown isnt.
