"You know, you get down there and you know you've got to hit the ground running. You either show up and perform, or you don't stick around. It's plain and simple," observed Tripp.

He played outside linebacker at UM, but Miami is taking a look at him on the outside and in the middle. A long distance pipeline has developed between Miami and Missoula, with former Grizzlies Lex Hilliard and Dan Carpenter starting their careers there. Jimmy Wilson is still on the current roster, and Tripp doesn't think that's a coincidence.
"One of the things that Coach Joe Philbin's big on is doing things right, listening to detail. You know, when a coach tells you do do something, you do it that way and you do it their way. And I think a lot of the Montana kids have that instilled in them from the coaches we've had up here, and just the type of work ethic they carry when they go to this program," Tripp told us.
He hasn't had a moment to slow down since the draft process began, but Tripp says he wouldn't change a minute of it.
"I just love what I do. It's been very busy. But I got the opportunity to live my dream - and I've got to keep working my butt off so I can keep living my dream."
Tripp gets to spend a couple more weeks at home, and then he reports for the first practice of training camp on July 25.

I like his attitude. He was expected to go in the 3rd round but we got lucky.
Good luck for a great career as a Dolphin.

One thing he'll need to do is add more muscle/weight over the next couple of seasons. Being 6'3" 235 is a bit too lean especially for MLB
