What a colossal waste of talent. Classic example of a guy that has a $1,000,000 body and a $.10 brain:
Phillips gets 31 years in prison
Ex-NFL running back Lawrence Phillips was sentenced to more than 31 years in prison for attacking his girlfriend and driving his car into three teens.
Phillips, 34, was sentenced Friday in San Diego for assault and other crimes.
Phillips told the judge he didn't get a fair trail and he'll appeal.
Phillips twice choked his girlfriend in 2005 in San Diego. Later that year, he aimed his car and struck three teens after a pickup football game in Los Angeles.
Phillips was once one of the nation's top college football players at Nebraska. The St. Louis Rams released him for insubordination in 1997. He also play for the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers.

Such a pitiful waste of talent.

I remember watching him at Nebraska, thinking how good he could have been. It always makes me discouraged seeing these guys who have the God Given talent any of us would kill for, only to see them piss it away.
 
sad sad story, some people just cant stay out of trouble. when he got nfl money in his pocket it was all downhill. he really needed some help when he was younger. reminds me of mike tyson.

yes he did and he and Cecil Collins should share a jail cell but where would Philips be sent to for his sentence ?

you know we should have a full miami dolphins roster of all the guys who went to jail or prison.

its ashame players throw away there talent as does actors and singers.
