Ricky gives his take on Jeff Ireland.

"I think if you met Jeff Ireland on the street, or you fell down and you needed someone to help you, or your car broke down, or if you met him anywhere on the street, you would think he was the nicest, most genuine, cool guy in the world," Williams said on WQAM-AM radio in Miami on Friday. "But if you are on the football team, he's a total (expletive)."

Williams suggested that Ireland is trying to effect "the persona that he thinks he has to be."

"My experience with him is, he's always been really, really nice, really, really nice and really good to me," Williams said. "And one time, he thought I had gotten in trouble or something, and he was a total (expletive). And it just happened in two seconds, and I was like, 'Whoa, where did that come from?' "

I loved Ricky as a Dolphin and even respected his decision to retire, even though he screwed the team and the fans. But now he is screwing the fans of the Miami Dolphins again and he is not even on the team!!!! We already know how some players feel about Ireland and how the national media thinks the team is a joke. We don't need Ricky stirring the pot and bringing media attention back on the Phins FO. I just lost respect for him, for sure.

Of course he will say nice things now, Parcells and Ireland gave him a second chance in the NFL.

I have also loss respect for Sticky for giving an unbiased balanced opinion. Just stfu and go smoke your spliff, unless you have something positive to say of course.

99% of all good business man or woman are like that. If you want to get somewhere in the business world you better be nasty or someone else is going to run you out of town! You have to know where to cut of the rope. In the nfl you are dealing with animals not humans, you are dealing with guys with no fear so if they see you with fear on your eyes, you are a dead man walking!

So let me try and figure this out... Ricky's "Boss" is "Really,Really" nice to him when he is doing his job... and when He finds out Ricky might have gotten into trouble or wasn't doing his job then he was a total "(Expletive)". Isn't this exactly what Ireland or any other GM get's paid to do? the guy is in charge of a roster of about $100million dollars what did Ricky expect?

This is so far from the truth it is unbelivable. NFL players are still human and want to be treated that way.

I don't know...maybe Ricky expected Jeff to atleast ask him WTF is going on instead of relying on might haves and maybes.

We are talking real life dude. Not some fantasyland you might wish we had.

Ricky didn't get into details about what situation he is even referring to so I don't know how you can sit here and blame Ireland for a reaction to something none of us are privy to... Also, he has been in trouble before and as much as I actually like Ricky he has been coddled since he was in college and unfortunately that isn't the way the real world of business works 99% of the time.

LOL @ the people spouting about how they've "lost respect" for him for him stating his opinion, all while stating their opinion on his opinion.

Comical.
