Excellent training camp update right here (from the Herald)

Goodbye hartline? only space for 1 white receiver on the roster..

There is also a video interview with Lamar Miller for those that want to watch.

I don't remember hearing Chris Hogan's name much in OTAs and Mini camp but ever since training camp started this kid has been making some noise. I think he's been running mostly with the 3's and sometimes with the 2's...I'd like to see him get some more reps with the 2's and 1's and see if he can still make plays. Marcus Thigpen is another kid that's starting to flash at running back.

We need a bigger practice squad just for receivers. There's 3 or 4 guys at the bottom of the WR chart that I'd like to keep around to develop.

What if hartline takes it to the next level, hogan makes the 53, we draft rt17's boy Ryan swope. That would be fasano hartline swope and hogan, a white boy receiver core. Anyone know what egnew is? He looks half white

One reporter said he got Thigpen and Miller mixed up (#34 and #44). They run at the same speed and with similar styles. If we keep an extra RB i would not mind Thiggy for punt returners. He'll probably have to beat out Slaton but who knows ?

i thought the cut thigpen a few days ago

Somebody please explain to me how we're supposed to judge 3 QB's against each other in a 30 yard drill when they're each using different offensive personnel and facing different defensive personnel.

Football 101: Grade QBs the same as you grade all football players.

Each player is graded on each play. Then they sit down with the player & go over their plays & grades. Exact same as they do for games every week.

There is no direct comparison. If they want to judge players, they'll look at the grades ... overall and/or situational ... i.e. that's how folks end up being situational players.

That's also how offenses are designed around QBs (alot of big talk about that always) ... plays are designed around what the QB is successful at.

WTF ... Hartline has ALREADY taken it to the next level ... he's averaging 1 TD/Season ... Boo-Ya!! Canton Bee-ootchs!! Plus he secretive & all the fans like his EEOC crapola ... Double Boo-Ya!!

I like all this development talk ... the whole lot of them might turn into excellent WRs ... or they might turn into Canton-bound QBs ... never know!! Let's keep them ALL around, who needs stinkin' talent ... see what develops!!

I believe he is averaging 1/3 of a TD per season. Getting him to 1 TD a season would be a significant upgrade.

I am so high on this kid and man is he strong. He will get great separation at the line of scrimmage.

One strong SOB...

wow that bench press vid was intense, when you thought he was done, he just kept throwing them up. thats some serious power and stamina right there.

28 reps is ridiculous for a WR. for reference, that is as many or more reps than 14 out of 17 DE's put up and the 2012 NFL combine. unofficial 4.39? i will already take him
over Hartline. i'll be rooting for this guy hard. Sounds like a great Hard Knocks story to me

Each QB has been using the their own set of WRs which is suppose to change. It is odd.
