So it seems clear in McD's system, that when we are forced to pass against top Ds, we become much more pedestrian. We even alluded postgame that so much of our pass game action is predicated on misdirection that feeds off an effective run game threat. But this is a problem come playoff time. Not only will some teams be able to shut us down while maintaining 2 safeties deep, we will also be multiple scores down in the second half and may need to come back fast.

How can we aid our drop-back offense when our run game is no longer a threat? For all the 2 deep people play against us, i would think WR drag routes should be more prevalent. I see how other concepts like over routes really need solid pass pro to even consider. So we can almost put it into 2 buckets, with Eich starting vs without Eich

I have noticed the last few weeks that the passing game has been much more horizontal. I am not a huge fan of that. The quick passes over the middle seem to being fading away too. We need to be relentless in that part of the field.

Is it a wonder why both losses are in hostile territory? Buffalo and Philly have the biggest loud mouth fans of them all and have a loud stadium. You can attribute some of the offensive woes due to the crowd noise. Doesn’t help when your offense is predicated on a lot of motion and movement. Need to use a lot more hand signals in the future.

The crowd noise is an excellent point and a specific thing they need to simulate harder in practice. Maybe there is a complexity with our system that is unduly affected by crowd noise. I get not wanting to blow your ears out during hours of practice, but you could experiment with ear buds and a sound mixer and 'lowering' the sound input that comes in from Tua in the mix while piping in moderate fake crowd noise, or have the OL/WR wear earplugs.

I think teams are prioritizing taking away the middle of the field knowing it's our sweet spot. We have to adjust.
