Wake is 33 but, played more snaps, had more sacks, and was a bit better on he run from a year ago. He is likely in better shape than 99% of the NFL, and I can see him as VG or better the next two years.

Grimes fell off a lot from 2013, going from being ranked #2 and #9 to #29 by both the NFL and PFF. He will turn 32 in July, and my confidence level is less than for Wake.

We REALLY need both at a high level the next two seasons. Will they be there?

Both back to the probowl along with Suh and possibly Jones are my expectations. Suh will benefit all the others on the D.

My expectations are they are in the last season in Miami and it will get really ugly for Grimes if his play slips because of his wife's big mouth.

If I'm Grimes, I work my ass off to play at least 2 more years. If not, he has a lot more time to spend with Miko.

That would be more than enough for me.

Wake is going to have a big season. double digit sacks and an All-Pro selection. Grimes will have a solid season (not great), pro bowl again...I expect him to be a cap casualty in the offseason though.

If grimes isnt playing at a high level then he needs to go . The only reason with out up with his wife's stupidity is because he's a pro bowler . If he's not ..... Cya and your dumb ass wife Miko

this could really be the year wake falls off, and the same could be said for grimes. Suh is going to help them look respectable, because of the double and triple teams he will draw will allow wake to get some sacks, and with wake and OV getting more 1v1 and clean looks vs the QB, that will lessen the time our Cbs have to cover, thus making their job easier.

A pass rusher being VG past 33 is not unheard of, and I believe Cam can do it.

Grimes MUST be better than last year. We are in pretty bad shape at CB, and he has to cover one side for a playoff. JMO

I was in the trade Wake camp before, but I like the guy, his work ethic, and his demeanor...not much of a vocal leader, but a good lead by example guy. Would like to see him play out his contract, but transition to more of a situational player. Grimes is still the best corner on the roster and like Wake stays in phenomenal shape...however if his play drops again he could be released at the end of the season...

With Suh on the line I expect both Wake and Vernon to really show up this year.

Grimes, I don't think his play decliner per say. I think it was more a result of the play call.

I think both will be fine this year and likely another REAL Pro-Bowl season along with Jones, Pouncey and hopefully Tannehill joins the ranks.

PFF had Cam Wake — 1st
Olivier Vernon — 16th
Derrick Shelby — 31st

Brent Grimes — 49th
Cortland Finnegan — 70th

I'm thinking Wake will still be a stud and maybe more so
with the added attention Suh will require...can't double team everyone

As for Grimes he was rated 49th by PFF
He was also third worst corner in the red zone
and in my opinion not worth the $10,000,000 cap hit
Not sure Grimes will be here in 2016

I can't wait for Miko driving north out of Florida with Brent in his baby car seat

This is a great edge draft. I hope we take a chance on somebody. Strike where it's hot. I wouldn't mind taking j-off-her-doll's advice and going after Randy Gregory. We need an edge guy in his prime to fully take advantage of the push and disruption that Suh will provide. Wake too often was invisible in 2014. I felt sorry for him when he was engulfed by a few tackles who made him look tiny and irrelevant. But there are still a handful of games in which his burst is there and the right tackle is stupid and vulnerable enough to drop his right foot and shoulder, allowing the perfect angle and all but unopposed.

Grimes takes advantage of weak quarterbacks. He could fare well early in 2015 given our schedule. He allows too much separation but against weak quarterbacks there is plenty of time to use his anticipation and make up for it. That doesn't happen against top passing teams. Even his success in the Pro Bowl was mostly comical. He was beaten badly but given the lazy nature of that game the ball was late, the receiver loafing, and Grimes simply was trying harder than the guys he was facing.

I'll appreciate it when we have 5-6 truly elite guys, and of ideal stature for their position.
