Finheaven QB
I've been a Dolphins fan, literally, my entire life. I've always been a glass half full fan. But not now. I've grown tired of this mess that we've been fielding since Shula left. It's a disaster and extremely discouraging. We lost AT HOME to a Che ifs team that we are better than - on paper. What's worse is that they were without seven starters. SEVEEN. That is almost 1/3 of their starters (counting both sides of the ball). LMAO! That is embarrassing. I have also been a half hearted supporter of Tannehill. But I have to say (and I consider myself as a bit of a QB "expert") that he just doesn't have it. Not saying that he doesn't try. But his awareness on the field is sub-par in comparison to my 15 year old son. And I'm not even exaggerating. He didn't LOSE this game for us. But he by no means helped us at all. I don't if all of those hits has made him scared, but he seems to focus more on pass rush than his receivers. Unfortunately, he has done that the majority of his time with Miami. Late in the game, on 3rd and 20, he could have ran the ball for a first down. It would have been easy! He had 30 yards of open field in front of him. Instead, he threw a floating duck out of bounds. A QB quarterback with field and situational awareness would have pulled it down and ran it. Terrible. I'll be fair and say that we had 3 drops early in the game, but other than that, the majority of misses were on him.
Also: when you're running the ball as freely as we were, why the **** not keep smashing it at them? It was almost comical to see us go away from the run. Hell, I'd venture to say we could have ran the ball on every play and the Chiefs wouldn't have been able to stop us. Lastly: Philbin has the emotions of a ****ing mule. He has no fire at all. He would pass for simply not giving a ****. I mean seriously. How can you be involved, in any capacity, in a competitive sport and be so emotionless? It's sort of disturbing.
I had high hopes for going into the bye week at 3-1. Now, I can barely hang on to hope that we'll be 2-2. This team has regressed. Save a few guys with heart, the team, as a whole, lacks it. It's really disappointing.
Before someone suggests that I am just being negative, see my pasts posts. I never post anything like this. But it's real folks. The Dolphins are bad. The first game meant nothing. Hell, the Patriots have taken a few steps back. We have a long way to go.
