Going to start my research for this offseason but heres my quick list of who I would look at:

Restructure- Wake, Grimes. Wake should be an easy restructure as we transition him to a 3rd specialist role. Grimes should definitely want to restructure now that his wife put him in a stupid position of his marketability leaguewide.

Resign- Shelby, Vernon. Both have proved themselves and we need to start retaining our own talent.

Target- Sean Smith, Sean Spence, Mark Barron, Brandon Mebane. Smith developed nicely in KC, great size to match up against some of the bigs we face every year. Spence is a solid piece in the middle who is fast and could start off in our special teams unit and backup ILB. If we decide to cut Earl, Mebane would be a solid 3rd DT on passing downs. Barron is a tweener S/olb we could use in nickel packages thats a hard hitter and could go sideline to sideline.

Draft- not sure who yet but FS and ILB would be my top two needs based on the additions I've made.

I would give Dion Jordan one last offseason to redeem himself as well as entertaining the thought of bringing Delmas back one last time. So my defense would look like:
Grimes, Smith, McCain, McCain, Lippet
Delmas, Jones, Barron, Draft pick
Jenkins, Draft Pick, Misi, Spence, Jordan, Hewitt
OV, Phillips, Suh, Shelby, Wake, Mebane

What do you think both are worth?

If Grimes is here next year I am driving down to the stadium and lighting myself on fire.

I say restructure the way in that if you dont, good luck trying to find anything close to the lowered deal as your in your mid 30s playing on your likely last nfl contract...

I would say both Wake and Grimes are worth 3.5-5 a year

Wake and Grimes will get way more than that in today's NFL market.

If you are Grimes and Wake why not force the phins to cut you and go collect 3.5 mil from someone who you think is going to the playoffs next year?

Wtf give Dion 1 more chance?... he sucked at Oregon and no news flash but maybe it is He sucks still...****ing waste.

I like the idea of going after Eric Weddle, may be a little pricey. But man him and Reshad would be fun to watch

Wake won't restructure, you either have to cut him or keep him. My guess is being cut would be a dream come true for him, and that's assuming he can even play agin.

Grimes won't restructure either, cornerbacks are worth a lot of $, and there is a contender somewhere who will give him a nice front loaded deal.
