I have witnessed some postings as of late that think BP and Company (Miami Dolphins) were the real losers in the AFC East due to not signing Calvin "I am going to play money games" Pace and Alan "I know it is my payday" Faneca among others and that we will once again be last in the AFC East as the Jets, Bills, and Patsies upstaged our mediocre to improved player standing in FA. Let's look at the bottom line folks, we have no where to go but up as we only won one game last year with a bunch of old, slow, and often injured players. Face it, we got younger, bigger, and stronger on the lines, and there is still more to be done, but with BP, JI, and TS, it will get done and they will not mortgage the draft (future), and bankrupt the cap space. Just look at the Jets spending 100 million and only getting a couple of players and then trading a draft pick to boot, does this fit the NY Giants mold of having a back up to the back up, NO? We will be fine and once again, all of you will be proud of the job the Miami management is doing. I feel good about the job they are doing and I have followed the dolphins since 1970 - we needed to break down our team to only build it totally new, that is how you get it done. Be patient.

i agree, the dolphins did a hell of a job, they almost rebuilt the front 7, they got some oline help and they added depth

the real meat of the rebuilding process starts in april with the draft the dolphins are very good hands, we just have to be patient and let bill do what he does and that is win and take ****ty teams and make them great

Calvin Pace signing and or not signing won't matter as long as we hit on our drafts picks in the first three rounds. Not only this year, but we need consecutive strong drafts for at LEAST 3 years in a row. Let the Jets sign all the guys they want, if Clemens isn't the real deal, Mangini and Co. will be long gone by years end.

One more thought

We may have not picked your favorite player or players like Pace, Faneca, or Derek Anderson or whom ever, but rest assured, Bill is surveying the land to see which piece he needs to pick up and when, the draft is going to be very interesting for us, because no one knows but Dolphin management which way it will go for us. This is no Wannstadt or Cameron run ship, it's BP's way or no way - he knows how to build, not necessarily how to coach any more, but his team building skills are impressive.

what i like most about the moves we made is the fact that the guys that were shown the door averaged over 34 years of age yet the guys we brought in are a shade under 27.
