Its time to move on, our second choice was Culpepper and he is worthy of leading the team. We couldnt pay for the top QB, so we got Daunt-izzy Cuppep-shizzy. Cant wait to see Sabans face after Daunte does his rollin rollin rollin gesture.:D

Just because Culpepper didnt have Moss doesnt mean he cant make the pro bowl right?

Link?

Unless you work for the Front Office of Miami. You don't have any idea who our first choice was.

there is a difference between not having the money, and morgaging away your future to a guy who wants payton manning money, thank god saban is smarter than you.

someones looking for attention..

Saban has said time and time again it wasn't his second choice, it was the smart choice

Manning money with a shoulder that may never be the same. Why take that chance? And I don't think this was a "second choice" type thing. There were options, and Culpepper was the better fit. I believe he is a better fit regardless of who is "better"...

Do you realize that the Vikes were not letting Dolphins doctors to examine Daunte? Saban wouldn't commit until that was done, Daunte FINALLY got permission to talk to us himself and he agreed to the physical and viola the trade was made. This is a stupid thread and well I won't say what kinda people make stupid threads, I'll let you do the math.

Face it...we wanted Brees...Huizanga (sp) didnt want to shell out the cash, so we had to switch gears, save face and trade for Culpepper, which we could have gotten with a 3rd rounder btw...Minnesota wanted him gone.

Wow you sure know a lot of inside information..

I may be blind, but I really don't see Drew Brees being better than Culpepper??
Put together everything that DC can do vs. what Brees can do and the scale has to tilt in Dante's favor. Also, he just seems to fit with what we do better. With the vertical passing game that we're leaning towards, you need a QB with a lot of mobility (DC) and a big arm (DC). When you look at it, there may not be a better fit for us than Culpepper. I like the move and I think it will pay off for us in the end.

What if Drew and Daunte was a both free agent.
Who's would have the most interested then.
Who's getting all the attention on espn

If Brees was our 1st choice Saban would have sign him
