What would fair value be if a team in the top 10 of the 2nd round wanted to come up and trade for Miami's 26th pick?

The "chart" says a move from let's says pick #8 of R2(40th overall) to #26 would cost you a 3rd in the top dozen picks of that round.

So you could get # 40 and # 78 for #26.

That seems pretty equitable to me charts aside.

And unless there was a player I had to have at 26 I would probably make that trade.

If, one of the big 4 tackles falls to 18, I really want to make that trade to get another pick is the top 75 so in addition to the QB And Tackle, we can get one of the centres( Ruiz, Cushenberry or Hennessy), another tackle, a free safety (Davis) and a True NT (Hamilton). Plus we can package the 5 rounders to get back into the 120's.

This works from value/ need basis as well.
#5 QB
#8-10 OT
#39, 40, 56- FS, RB, C
#70, 70s- IOL - DT

Most of the talking heads I read or listen to advise the following:

According to their sources inside the NFL, there is a premium for coming back into the 1st round from the 2nd. Sometimes the premium is enough that it's more expensive to move from 40 to 30 than it is to move from 29 to 15. The premium is much higher if you are moving back up for a QB or pass rusher than any other positions.

I've seen several mocks lately with Miami trading out of the 1st round from #26. In years past, a move from the 2nd back into the 1st would cost a premium. So I thought the topic would make for interesting debate. If Miami could secure an additional pick in both 2020 and 2021, I'd think it be a home run.

I’m all for trading back here to add a 3rd. I actually like the idea of trading up from 18 maybe 18 and 39 to get a top OT. Then move back from 26 recoup a pick and get our RB. Then we’d have a late second and 2 3s to add depth/BPA

According to "the Draft Pick Value Chart" Miami would need to give up #70 to move from 18 to 13(SF)where i think they could grab the last top 4 OT.

Trading 18 and 39 would get you all the way to 8.

I don't think they need to move up that much, unless they just have to have a specific OT, other than the one NYG are likely to take at 4.

If i could package 18 and 70 to move up to 13 and get Andrew Thomas I am jumping all over that.

Then you move down from 26 to recoup a 3rd.

I would be looking to use those 3 5th's and 3 7th's to move up in the 4th and 6th rounds respectively.

The Fins have 14 picks but I do not want 14 drafted rookies, i would prefer 9-10 at the most.

I would be willing to move some of those picks for 2021 picks as well, if they are not in love with a lot of day 3 prospects.

It depends entirely on who’s available. If Jordan Love is on the board and a QB needy team calls, it’s going to be more costly vs a team moving up to draft an OG. Those trade charts aren’t much help here imo.

I like the idea but Thomas is the only one I wouldn't trade up for. Prefer the other 3. Thomas projects as a Guard I'm hearing.

Really just depends on how the run on tackle goes. Giants, Chargers, Panthers, Cardinals could all draft one early. Getting to 9 may be the spot to get to, jump the Browns and Jets who both really want tackles. A lot of mocks have the 4th OT Thomas being gone by 11 to jets

I’m liking the idea of getting Becton and then maybe Isaiah Wilson in Rd 2-3. Just have the biggest nastiest OTs in the league. And build that smashmouth OL Flores wants

If we draft Tua @ 5, my opinion is that we HAVE to get OT Wilson for the right side. That could be pick #26.
